When it came to his identity, there was no need for him to answer–Diana could already guess who he was.
Who else could it be but Claude?
But if it really was Claude, then that meant her brother…
Diana didn’t dare let her thoughts go further.
Faced with her pointed question, Dylan’s expression didn’t waver. “If I’m not your brother, then who else could I be?”
“That’s something you’d know better than me.” Diana’s face was emotionless. “Honestly, even if you don’t admit it, I can still figure out who you are. So why don’t we strike a deal? You tell me where my brother is, and I won’t tell Suzy what I’ve discovered.”
Dylan let out a low chuckle. “Go ahead and tell her if you want. No matter what you say, I’m still Dylan. I’m not anyone else, and I never will be.”
“Fine. You said it yourself.”
Diana grabbed her bag and made to leave, expecting him to stop her. But to her surprise, Dylan didn’t move an inch, simply sitting there as if he couldn’t care less.
Her confidence wavered. He seemed entirely unfazed by her threat.
Thinking it over, Diana pulled out her phone as she walked, preparing to call Suzy.
The moment she retrieved it, a sharp pain shot through her wrist.
Something struck her hand hard, causing her phone to tumble to the ground.
She spun around, only to see Dylan advancing toward her, one deliberate step at a time.
He looked like a predator, exuding a chilling, bone–deep menace.
“Diana…” Dylan’s voice was soft as he called her name. “I am your brother. Take another good look. Am I, or am I not?”
Diana’s mind seemed to stop functioning properly. Each command he gave compelled her to obey.
When he told her to look at him, she did.
She stared closely, her gaze fixed on him, but anyone watching would notice the lack of focus in her eyes.
She looked like a puppet on strings, moving at his will.

“Well? Have you looked carefully?” Dylan’s voice was gentle, almost a whisper.
Diana nodded mechanically. “I’ve looked carefully.”
“And? Am I your brother?”
“Yes, you are my brother!”
Dylan patted her head with a satisfied smile. “Good girl.”
After dealing with Diana, Dylan left her alone in the dessert shop and walked out.
What he didn’t know was that his every move was being closely observed by a pair of
unseen eyes.

When Dylan returned to Hillside Villa, Suzy had just stepped out of the pharmacy. She initiated the conversation. “Got everything sorted?”
“Yeah,” Dylan replied as he walked over, holding a box of cake. “I passed by a dessert shop. Diana said their cakes are great and asked me to bring you some.‘
He extended the box toward her again. “It’s from Diana. You’re not planning to turn her down, are you?”
“Thank her for me.” Suzy accepted the box, then added, “I’ve come up with a new prescription for you today. Let’s see how it works later.”
“Alright.”
A servant brought the freshly brewed medicine to the table, and Dylan downed it in one go.
“Finish it and get some rest. If you feel any unusual reactions, let me know right away. Don’t brush it off like last time,” Suzy reminded him firmly.
Dylan nodded. “Got it.”
Suzy watched him head upstairs, her eyes growing darker and more thoughtful.
Later that night, Suzy found herself back in Dylan’s room.
This time, he was sleeping deeply. She leaned closer, carefully studying his face again.
Still, there were no signs of a disguise–no trace of any kind of mask or prosthetic.
Could Claude’s skills really be this flawless?
“What are you looking at?”
The sudden voice startled Suzy. She quickly composed herself, masking her surprise with calmness. “Nothing. Just checking if you’re experiencing any side effects.”
