None of them were fools. Suzy suddenly pushing the two of them together clearly had a reason. 

Was it to hide them from some danger, or was it something else entirely? 

Neither of them wanted to leave, but Suzy didn’t give them the chance to refuse. She simply ordered them, saying, “Your tickets are already booked. You’re going whether you want to or 

not.” 

Faced with her command, neither Diana nor Elliot dared to argue, and the two reluctantly boarded the plane to the polar region. 

Throughout the journey, both were lost in thought. The possibility that Suzy might be intentionally pairing them up only added to their unease. 

Still, neither voiced their suspicions, choosing instead to act as though they didn’t notice anything unusual. They both decided that once they reached the polar region, they would collect the plant and return as quickly as possible. 

But neither of them expected Suzy to have no intention of letting them come back so soon. 

“Any luck booking tickets?” Diana asked anxiously, watching as Elliot set down his phone. 

Elliot’s expression was as dark as a storm cloud. “No luck.” 

They had retrieved the plant on their first day there and even used it. 

Just as Suzy had said, it worked wonders. 

Elliot’s lingering toxin was completely expelled, and the scar on Diana’s forehead had faded so much it was barely noticeable unless examined closely. 

Confident they had achieved their goal, they immediately tried to book a return flight, but no matter how many times they tried, they couldn’t get tickets.

At first, they thought it was a simple glitch–system errors, overbooked flights. 

But by the third attempt, they realized something was wrong. 

They tried asking someone else to book on their behalf, but the results were the same. 

“Mentor doesn’t want us to go back.” 

Djana nodded in agreement. “It has to be her pulling the strings behind the scenes. Otherwise, this wouldn’t be happening. What do we do now? 

Elliot frowned, deep in thought. “If she doesn’t want us to return, there’s no way we’ll get back… unless…”

“Unless what?” Diana pressed eagerly. 

Elliot cast Diana a complicated look but ultimately kept his thoughts to himself. “It’s fine. Since Mentor doesn’t want us to return, we’ll just stay a few more days.” 

“But…” Diana’s expression was equally conflicted, though she didn’t finish her sentence either. 

She had considered calling Suzy to confront her, but the thought of bringing everything into the open made her hesitate. After all, she had deceived Suzy first. 

“Forget it,” she thought. “If we have to stay, we’ll stay. Maybe after a few more days, we’ll finally be able to leave.” 

The moment Diana and Elliot tried booking tickets, Suzy was informed. Her lips curled into a mischievous grin. “You two can stay put until you fall for each other.” 

She knew her actions were a bit underhanded, but they deserved it for scheming and thinking thoughts they shouldn have. 

Especially since they’d tried to play her.

Meanwhile, Dylan caught wind of Suzy sending Diana and Elliot off to the polar region. Though he had a good idea of her plan, he still came looking for her, mainly because he missed her. 

It had been several days since he’d last seen her, and the wait was driving him crazy. 

To his surprise, Suzy didn’t refuse to meet him this time. 

“Wipe that smile off your face,” she said the moment they met. 

Before Dylan could respond, she added coldly, “Don’t think for a second that Elliot being gone gives you a chance. Like I said before, you’ll never have a chance with me–not in this lifetime.”
