When Suzy received the photo sent by the enemy, a wave of rage surged through her entire body.
The image showed Diana tightly bound, surrounded by a group of men with menacing expressions.
The sender hadn’t said anything, but their intent was clear. Suzy instantly understood the threat.
The thought of what they might do to Diana next made Suzy tremble uncontrollably. "Dylan, I told you to stay away from me! Why won’t you listen?"
Diana wouldn’t have had to go through this if he had just kept his distance.
But now…
Dylan hadn’t expected the enemy to target Diana either.
For a while, Diana had been hidden away by Elliot, out of sight even from Suzy and Dylan.
Although they hadn’t been able to locate her, neither of them had been particularly worried.
They trusted Elliot’s character and knew he would never hurt Diana. Her being hidden seemed like a blessing in disguise, given how dangerous things were around them lately.
But now, it was clear the enemy had found her.
Dylan stared at the photo, his heart pounding in panic.
He immediately called Desmond. "Send everyone out to search for Diana immediately!"
Suzy’s emotions spiraled out of control. "Do you think she’ll be that easy to find? Dylan, that’s your sister! If something happens to her, you’ll never forgive yourself!"
Dylan clenched his fists tightly. "I just wanted to be with you…"
"What’s with that tone, Miss Frost? I went out of my way to help you find her, and you don’t seem the least bit grateful," the voice replied.
It was distorted, making it impossible to tell who it was. "Or perhaps, you don’t want my help at all?
"If that’s the case, I may have been meddling unnecessarily. But here’s the thing. She’s already with me. What should I do now? Perhaps I should send her back the way she came?
“Though I can’t guarantee what might happen along the way. If something were to occur, don’t hold it against me, Miss Frost."
"What exactly do you want?" Suzy growled into the phone.
"You’ve gone to all this trouble; you must have a goal. Why don’t you just tell me everything you’re after?"
"I don’t want much," the voice said with a laugh. "All I want is your life, Miss Frost."
