Timothy’s actions were too quick for Suzy to stop.

As she saw Dylan wounded by her own father, her brow furrowed deeply.

She rushed forward and forcefully pulled Timothy away from Dylan, ignoring everything else to try to stop the bleeding.

However, Dylan held her back. "Don’t waste your time."

"Shut up!" Suzy slapped his hand away and began tearing at his shirt to assess the severity of the wound.

He still resisted. "Suzy..."

"Why are you talking so much right now?"

Timothy sneered coldly. "It’s not that he’s being difficult. He knows exactly how bad his situation is. Let me save you the suspense—the knife was coated with a deadly poison. He won’t survive."

Hearing this, Suzy’s expression twisted in fury as she turned to Timothy. "Give me the antidote!"

"There is no antidote," Timothy said with a mocking laugh.

"I intended for him to die. Why would I carry an antidote? Even if I did, do you think I’d hand it over?"

His gaze turned venomous as he stared at Dylan. "He has only himself to blame for not giving Charlotte back to me!"

"Charlotte, Charlotte..." Suzy’s voice rose in anger.

"Is there anything else in your heart other than her? How many times do I have to tell you—she isn’t the real Charlotte! She’s an imposter! Why won’t you believe me?"

"I’ve told you countless times as well!" Timothy shouted back, his resolve unshaken.

"I know better than you whether she’s real or not! I’ve been with Charlotte for over twenty years. Do you think I wouldn’t recognize her? She is Charlotte without a doubt!"

His conviction made Suzy pause, doubt creeping into her mind.

But that wasn’t the priority right now. The focus had to be on saving Dylan from the poison. If she didn’t act fast, everything could fall apart.

"You want Dylan to return Charlotte to you, but he’d need to survive for that to even happen," Suzy said, her voice cold as she locked eyes with Timothy.

"If he’s dead, how exactly is he supposed to give her back?"

Timothy frowned, realization dawning. "That’s true… If Dylan dies, I’ll never find out where Charlotte is. But..."

He looked anxiously at Dylan, then back at Suzy.

"I really don’t have an antidote! Charlotte gave me the poison before she disappeared. She said it was for self-defense if I ever found myself in danger."

"Charlotte gave you the poison?" Suzy’s eyes narrowed. She should have guessed—Timothy wouldn’t know how to concoct poison himself.

"Yes! When she handed it to me, I didn’t think too much of it. I thought she was just worried about me, especially with all the chaos surrounding you recently. I assumed she feared I’d get caught up in it. But now I realize… she was saying goodbye to me."
