“Mr. Fan,” Yonnie greeted smoothly, shaking hands with the man who’d approached. Tanya followed suit.“Are you discussing business with Mr. Reed?” 

“Yes, I’m quite interested in a few of Mr. Reed’s company’s recent projects,” Fan replied. Noticing Tim and Ashley hadn’t joined them, Yonnie paused but didn’t seem too concerned. Mr. Fan, oblivious to the underlying tension, found Tim’s lack of engagement unusual. As a businessman, even if Tim didn’t know the in family, a simple greeting and networking wouldn’t
