Chapter 100 

The leopard, now calm, completely lost all his previous affection for Nyx. 

The Supervision Office staff arrived and took the leopard away. Nyx followed closely behind, still uneasy. 

Along the way, the leopard didn’t speak a word to her. He was silent and stiff, like a stone. This was completely different from the image Nyx had of him.

“Okay, Nyx nodded. “If he loses control again, please let me know anytime. I’ll help.” 

The staff member gratefully nodded, but suddenly heard a soft voice from not far away, “No need”

Kai’s demeanor was flawless, as though he were wearing a mask. After the polite exchange, he clarified his intentions. Thank 

your previous Mental Soothing, but you needn’t worry about me anymore. I will remain in the Supervision Office.”

Nyx was taken aback, her eyes trembling slightly. He was refusing Mental Soothing. Nyx had never encountered such a situation before, and her brows furrowed deeply. “But- 

Before she could finish, Kai added, “There are many males who look forward to your Mental Soothing. You needn’t waste your energy on someone like me.” 

With that, he respectfully bowed again before turning and walking away, leaving Nyx standing there, unsure of what to do.

Nyx was a little worried. The next day, while performing Mental Soothing for other males, she asked the staff at the Supervision Office for more information about Kai. Sure enough, Kai had lost control again.

Nyx watched helplessly as the leopard repeatedly slammed into the sturdy partition, as if it wouldn’t stop until it bled. She quickly crouched down, reached her hand through the food slot, and gently shook it, trying to catch his attention. 

The staff were horrified and rushed to stop Nyx. 

“Don’t do that.” 

“Please, don’t.” 

“It’s too dangerous.” 

The leopard was indeed attracted and leaned towards Nyx’s shaking hand. He lowered his body and carefully observed her delicate, fragile hand, sniffing around it in circles. 

In the tense atmosphere, the leopard studied for a while but didn’t do what the staff feared. Instead, he turned around, pushed his lunch through the food slot into Nyx’s hand, and let out a low growl, hoping she would accept it 

Trapped in the holding room, he couldn’t hunt. He could go hungry, but his fragile female had to be fed. 

The staff watched this in shock. In the leopard’s survival instinct, this kind of selfless offering shouldn’t exist, yet it was happening with Kai. Nyx felt a strange mix of emotions. Without realizing it, she had grown attached to this leopard. 

For the next few days, Nyx visited Kai every day. Occasionally, Kai would temporarily regain control. During these moments, his attitude toward Nyx was unusually cold. Although his words were gentle, he treated Nyx no differently from anyone else, as though he didn’t care for her at all.
