Chapter 87

Kaia's POV

Just like Kieran commanded, I asked Dylan to send Nessa back home and then with Ryder’s help, we led Dani to the room. She was also hysterical now, especially since she couldn't reach Caleb or his wolf. Her own wolf was pushing to come out, nothing we said or did helped matters.

Kieran didn't say where he was apart from the fact that he was close.

“What do we do, Luna?" Allie asked. She only calls me that, when she's lost at what to do. “She's getting worse." She pointed out.

I took another look at her, I was just as confused as they were. And her wolf was in so much pain, reminding me of Lylah when it was our mate in the same situation.

I bent down to meet her eyes, "Dani, look at me?” I commanded softly, using my tone that even her wolf couldn't refuse. And her gaze finally met mine.

"Caleb is going to be just, okay!" I assured her.

She shook her head, “I can't feel him or his wolf, Luna." She cried.

“He's trying to conserve his energy and Kieran is bringing him. So I'm sure they'll be here any minute…” I paused at the commotion at the door as Kieran's smell filled my nostrils.

Ryder swung the door open and there they were, Caleb in Kieran's arms, covered in his own blood, which was dripping everywhere. Dylan also stood behind them, his expression the same as everyone else…fear, worry.

Dani rushed to him, her hand trembling as she repeatedly called his name. Despite her struggling to stay by his side, the guys gently pulled her away. It was the first time Dylan and Ryder worked together instead of being at each other's throats.

Caleb was placed on the bed, and he was barely breathing and from the time that he was shot till now, it hadn't been that long but the damage was not surprisingly worse than Kieran's own.

His wound was on his upper chest, but it was quickly expanding to the rest of his body and even his arms. From just looking at it, I could already tell that it was going to be draining.

But Caleb has to live, no matter what.

“You've got this, Bella." Kieran's voice rang in my head, and without looking at him, I nodded. Each second was crucial now if we wanted to save him.

I let Dani hold him as I placed my hand over his wound just like other times.

“You're doing well." Lylah said, trying to encourage me and it was working.

I nodded, doing exactly what she'd taught me. An image of me healing him filled my head and the familiar surge of energy, something I was getting used to, reached my hands, the glow covering the part of his body that was injured.

This went on for a while, considering the extent of his wound. It felt like it was just the both of us in the room now and his groaning as his wound began to close and his skin knit back together, reached my ears but I couldn't stop.

After a while, I felt my body weakened and Lylah took over, using her own strength and just when I felt her slipping away, a loud gasp filled the room, and a peace I couldn't explain settled within me.

“You did it, Bella.” Kieran said, his voice sounding distant but the relief in them was very evident.

It was his best friend we were talking about here.

“Are you okay?” He asked me, when I didn't say anything.

I nodded, but that was a lie because the next minute I was falling into his open arms.
