Five years later, in a hospital located at another costal city, Margery, who was just lying on the operating table, slowly sat up straight. Then the doctor who just performed a general check-up for her said to her kindly, "Ms. Bryne, congratulation! Your facial skin and your organs have well recovered. This is the last general check-up. You don't need to be bothered by it from now on."

"Okay, thank you, Dr. Jones."

Margery smiled and slowly raised her head to touch her own face. When she felt her own fair and smooth skin on the face with her slightly cold fingertips, she couldn't help feeling thrilled.

It had been five years since she managed to get out of that car and survive from that fiercely burning fire! She had been shifting between the burns department and the cosmetic surgery department. She had taken so much pills and surgeries and had been through so much pain and agony. Finally, she no longer looked ugly and disabled. Now, she could live a common life just like any other women in the world.

Margery put the sunglasses into her bag and walked out of the operating room. Then she saw the smiling face of Melvin, "Margery, how are you feeling now? Did the doctor give you some extra advice?"

Margery couldn't help smiling, feeling high-spirited, "She said that I had well recovered. And this is my last check-up."

"Really? That's great! Finally, here comes the day!" While yelling happily, Melvin spread his arms and was about to hug her, "What a special day! Come on, Margery, give me a hug! Then let me take you and kids to have some nice seafood for congratulation!"

"I just recovered. So I don't think I can have any seafood."

"Well, what about some Cantonese food. I know there is a nice Cantonese restaurant nearby. They cook tasty dishes and you will definitely love it!"

"Okay."

Margery dodged his hug with a smile and bent over to hold up a handsome little boy who was standing quietly on the corridor. Then she kissed on his cheek, "Ethan, where is your sister?"

"Bonnie went to the washroom because she just took too much juice."

Ethan frowned and slowly wiped away the print of her kiss.

His move and seemingly repellent expression looked so alike that guy Margery hated so much!

Though it had been five years, the hatred against Golden had never slaked a bit. Instead, the fire of hatred was burning more and more fiercely in her heart. Every time Margery had to go through the pain of surgery, she would recall that her loving and sensible son, Andrew, was actually killed by that burning fire. However, Golden, as the true culprit, still lived a prestigious life.

How could she just simply let it go!

Margery blinked her eyes to hold back her burning hatred. She waited for a while but Bonnie still hadn't come back. Of course, she knew her own daughter well. Perhaps she just bumped into a charming doctor and got herself trapped in infatuation. Ah the thought of that, Margery sighed and shook her head, "Ethan, just stay here with Uncle Melvin. I will go to look for your sister."

Ethan didn't reply. He nodded with his lips pressed.

When Margery left, he raised his head to stare at Melvin with his big and sharp eyes, "Uncle Melvin, you should know that as a man, you have to stay aloof and arrogant! That's the way to attract ladies. No wonder you are still single at this age!"

Melvin was rendered speechless.

'You little jerk. No wonder you are the son of Golden. You look as mean as him!' He murmured to himself.

Margery went to the washroom. As expected, she didn't saw Bonnie there. She frowned and smiled. Then she turned around to walk out. She continued to walk along the corridor.

Of course, she wasn't worried about Bonnie as she had always been to the hospital with her.

Then, Margery noticed that there were a few offices decorated with different style, while the wall and ceiling of which were painted light blue instead of plain white. And the doors were left half-open. Those offices looked peaceful and special. It made her feel quite comfortable at first sight.

She took a glimpse at the direction board above her head—Psychology Department, while at the corner of which written 'No admittance except for permission'. When noticing that Bonnie might probably break in, Margery looked sullen and hurried forward. When she was about to reach the end of the corridor, she saw a little girl dressing in white gauzy dress peeping through the gap between the door and its frame.
