'She is submitting to us,' the voice made its way back into my mind again.
"Two major packs in less than a month. I don't know how you're able to do it," Austin mumbled as he walked past by me.
From the corner of my eyes, I watched her stop and wait a couple of steps before walking again. That surprised me. Wasn't she supposedly the daughter of Grant? The Alpha's family is treated like royalty. How would she know how to act like one of the damn servants?
"Listen, none of you will ever speak about this little trip. I do not want the pack to know about this mate situation. I just don't want her ruining my reputation," I commanded, turning to look at all three of them. With three swift nods, I turned back and walked into the pack house.
The Stellar Pack House, or should I say the newly renovated Sauron pack house was the latest victim. These pathetic little mutts were nothing compared to me. Slowly, I am expanding my army and territory, until it outmatches the Bane's. And then when the right time comes, I will strike him. None of his magical friends would be able to save him by then.
"Welcome back son," my father greeted sternly. Dark bags formed under his eyes and gray hair covered his head. His eyes held no more sparkles or excitement in them.
I miss the father who'd look at me with happiness written all over his facial features. I miss the father who'd talk to me about everything and listen to my woes. I miss the father who had pushed me beyond my limits to become the strong Alpha I was today. I miss the father who used to tell me how much I meant to him... How much he loved me.
Now, he was just an emotionless and broken man.
"It's nice to see you... Finally spending some time outdoors, father," I nodded curtly, watching his eyes dart from me to her.
"My, who is this beauty you've brought with you?" He stepped up and examined her closely. "Beautiful girl. Although your eyes seem to clash with everything else... You'd be absolutely gorgeous without those contacts," he mumbled, still looking at her.
She was fidgeting uncomfortably as she followed him with her eyes. "What is your name, child?"
"Arabella," she spoke softly. He stopped circling her and stopped just a couple of inches away from her face. Trying to suppress a growl, I balled my hands into fists.
"Beautiful name for a beautiful girl," he touched her face softly, running his finger on her forming bruises. "Sorry about my son's attitude and... Hostility. T'was my entire fault for his behavior. I have taught him most of the things he knows and practices now."
"That's quite enough, father," I seethed, grabbing her arm and pulling her into the house.
