Cathy followed John's car to his company.
Unlike Randy, John's company was mainly engaged in the entertainment industry. They were all men and women who wore fashionable and exquisite looks. As soon as they arrived at John's office, a set of clothes was thrown in front of them. Cathy hurriedly caught it.
"This is the uniform of the company. Go to the dressing room and put it on. From now on, you will be my accompanying secretary and work there."
Following John's hand, he looked over. It was a small office next door to John. The glass was not ground. From John's office, he could see what Cathy was doing.
Cathy hugged her clothes and silently changed. She sat down honestly in the office and began to process the documents sent to her by John.
A woman like her who had "parachuted" over and was sitting in the company's boss's car had naturally attracted a lot of discussion in the company. Cathy could clearly feel people coming and going at the door of her office one after another, spying on this newcomer with all sorts of eyes.
The things that John gave her were actually not difficult, but it was very difficult to sort out. Cathy suspected that it was John who deliberately made things difficult for her. After all, how could the private work of an entertainment company that was considered successful in the industry be so messy?
Cathy swallowed her saliva. Even if she was deliberately making things difficult for her, there was nothing to say. Who told her to be her younger sister's "enemy"?
She could only concentrate on her work.
When she finally finished her work today, Cathy realized that it was already dark. She stretched and turned around to see that John's office was empty.
"Sigh, I wonder when this day will come to an end." Cathy muttered softly and quickly packed up her things.
Looking at the time, it was already eight o'clock in the evening. The company was brightly lit and everyone had already left.
She put her phone in her bag and put it on her desk.
Go to the bathroom first, and then go to the nearby supermarket to buy some necessities.
Mm, the broken window should be pasted with a piece of cloth. We can go to find the master to fix up after the weekend.
Thinking of this, Cathy casually pushed open the door of the cubicle.
Suddenly, with a gentle "click", Cathy's nerves tightened. She quickly pushed the door that had just been closed, only to find that it was locked by someone outside.
"Who's outside? There's someone in the bathroom. Help me open it." Cathy said loudly as she knocked on the door.
However, as soon as she finished speaking, the light in the toilet was also turned off with a "pa-pa" sound.
Immediately after, there was a sound from outside the cubicle door, followed by a basin of cold water being poured down from the head of the bucket.
"Ah ... who are you! Did I provoke you?" Cathy was caught off guard and was drenched in cold water. She was shocked. It was already November, and the water in the tap was already cold.
After touching the water on her face, she knew that someone was trying to harm her no matter how slow she was. She said loudly as she scratched the crack in the door.
"I just came to the company on my first day. I have no grudges against you in the past. What's the point of playing tricks on me like this?"
There seemed to be a sneer coming from outside the door, and then a strange voice sounded, as if it was spoken through a voice changer.
"Stay away from President Scott!"
The door to the bathroom shut with a "pa-pa-pa" sound.
Cathy let out a deep breath, but she couldn't help but curse in her heart.
A heart-wrenching pain came from her palm. Cathy lowered her head and looked over. At some point, a long and deep wound had been cut on her left palm by the metal strip. Blood was flowing to the ground.
There were also many small cuts on the back of his hand caused by wood chips.
She turned on the tap and expressionlessly washed the slender wound on her palm. Waves of stinging pain stimulated her nerves, but she did not seem to feel much. She turned off the tap until the wound was white and no longer bleeding.
It was already half past ten in the evening and the supermarket was already closed. Cathy took a taxi and went to the convenience store to buy some cotton swab and iodine. She thought that John probably wouldn't leave her any food. She bought herself some food and knocked on the door of John's house with her bag.
It was John who opened the door. There was no surprise on his face when he saw her dripping with water. It was as if he had known long ago that he had allowed her to enter.
Cathy did not show him any courtesy. She put the bag on the coffee table and headed straight for the bathroom.
She needs a bath to rest.
However, this bath was doomed to fail.
Because the hot water system in the bathroom is broken.
No matter how stupid he was, he knew that John was deliberately targeting him.
Cathy couldn't bear it any longer, and the suppressed volcano finally erupted.
"John, just say it directly to me. I'll pack up my things and leave immediately. Why do you need to be disgusting with those tricks!" She rushed in front of John and asked aggressively.
John sat on the sofa, his cold white face shining with a timid light. He said coldly, "I'm not targeting you. Do you expect me to serve my enemies who maimed my sister with delicious food and drink?"
