Chapter 675 

lan stood rooted to the spot, watching Maja and Shawn walk into the theater together. 

The ticket checker next to him was still chuckling at the sight, probably sensing lan’s unhappiness, he dared not stare too long. 

lan took a step back, bumping into Ryan Elston who was taking Rita to the movies. 

Ryan thought he was seeing things as he was amazed to see lan there. 

“Cousin lan?” 

He exclaimed loudly, then rubbed his eyes. 

The man in front of him was indeed lan. 

lan glanced at the movie ticket in Ryan’s hand, which coincidentally happened to be the seat next to Maja. 

He quickly grabbed the ticket and handed it to the ticket checker. 

The ticket checker was dumbfounded by this scene. 

Ryan was also confused, he only had two tickets and the theater was already sold out. 

There was no way he could let lan go to the movies with his girlfriend Rita, right? 

Ryan thought up a clever idea, so he let go of Rita’s hand. 

“Honey, why don’t you go downstairs and check out the bags? Look around if there’s anything that you like. I want to watch this movie with Cousin lan.” Rita had lived for many years and had never seen her boyfriend Ryan ditch her at the entrance of the cinema to go watch a movie with another man. 

But the bags that Ryan was going to buy for her were expensive, and considering lan’s status, she had to put up with it. 

Ryan quickly handed his other ticket to the ticket checker, then strode after lan. 

“Cousin lan, wait for me.” 

The ticket checker watched them as the two men left one after the other, then looked at the woman who was still standing there in a daze, he sighed. 

The world truly was full of wonders. 

lan found the entrance to the theater, and as soon as he walked in, he saw Maja. 

The lights in the theater had dimmed, and he quickly sat down next to Maja. 

Maja didn’t yet know that the man next to her was lan, she was quietly holding a bucket of popcorn, waiting for the movie to start. 

When Ryan saw Maja, he knew that the night was going to be complicated. 

The theater went completely dark, and the movie officially began. 

The movie was of high quality, but lan didn’t pay much attention, especially as he could hear Maja and Shawn whisper from time to time. 

Their voices were too low for him to make out what they were saying. 

Halfway through the movie, Maja felt a hand on her leg, she thought it was Shawn’s. 

After a few times, she followed the hand with her eyes and to her surprise, she saw lan! 

The hand holding the popcorn bucket trembled a little, her face darkened. 

lan raised an eyebrow, seeing Maja so angry that her eyes were spitting fire. In the dim light, it seemed like the fire would never go out. 

He leaned over to her and whispered, “Do you know anything other than seducing men?” 

A Beck, a Samuel, an unknown man, she could laugh flirtatiously at all of them. 

She really wasn’t picky. 

Maja was both angry and amused, so she simply turned to watch the big screen. 

The movie showed an intimate kissing scene, and the scene was quite intense. It was said to be Shawn’s first on–screen kiss, and the movie was promoted with this selling point. 

Some of the couples around them also began to kiss openly. 

Maja was about to compliment Shawn when lan grabbed her arm, he seemed a bit nervous. 

“Do you want to kiss him?” 

Maja almost threw her popcorn at lan’s head. 

She couldn’t sit still any longer, so she stood up, told Shawn she was going to the bathroom, and then walked out. 

lan was quick to follow. 

Once in the bright hallway, she took a deep breath and tried to speak in a softer tone. 

“Mr. Raymond, what on earth are you trying to do?” 

lan stood there, somewhat puzzled, “Why are you angry, shouldn’t I be the one who’s angry?” 

Maja found that question to be ridiculous, she didn’t even know how to respond. 

All she could do was state the facts, “Mr. Raymond, what is our relationship?” 

lan didn’t know how to answer for a moment, he just stood there quietly. 

Maja continued, “Even if we were a couple once, that’s over now, and I’m not your secretary anymore, you really don’t need to watch me like this. Who I’m with is my 

business, you don’t need to be angry about that.” 

She tried to speak in a gentle tone, hoping he would leave her life as soon as possible. 

lan didn’t say anything, seeing Maja about to return to the theatre, he grabbed her. 

“Do you think I want to be mad at you?” His voice was hoarse and there was a hint of confusion in his eyes, “I don’t know what’s going on.” 

Maja shook off his hand, “If you feel something is wrong, go find another woman, anyone will do, just stop bothering me. Every time I see you, my mood is ruined,” lan’s heart felt like it had been pricked, he subconsciously licked his lips, his eyes turning dark. 

This time, when Maja walked back into the theater, lan didn’t stop her. 

He stood there for a while, then saw Ryan sneak out from the side. 

“Cousin lan, do you want to go for a drink?” 

Ryan would never admit that he had just seen his cousin lan get dumped and get told off pretty harshly to boot.
