Key: Dominant Alpha Chapter 11
My eyes snapped open and I woke up with a start.
Forest... Christian... A Kiss...? Wolf!
The thoughts crashed inside my head like a wrecking-ball ready to destroy my headspace and burn everything inside it. The words, that sight of what happened to me inside the jungle... and then that wolf! The breaking big, scary, vicious looking wolf that was ready to chew me in one piece and throw my bones aside like the toothpicks made for his teeth only.
It was a wolf, black, shiny wolf. Where had it come from again?
Oh fuck! I almost screamed as the sight of Christian leaping up in the air and turning into a wolf halfway through that jump danced in front of my eyes through the haze of those wrenched out memories. And then my head started to throb badly.
My eyes slid around my surroundings, trying to recognize where I was. I was in my house... in my bed? I was starting to get confused now.
Was that all a a dream that I saw? When the hell had my imagination become so freaking creative and psychopathitically dangerous?
Before I could differentiate the difference between dream and reality and get my mind straight out of the thoughts of probably needing a therapist, I heard my mom's voice calling me out,
"Oh dear, You woke up? You scared me so much, Ava! How did you faint on the way of home?" My mother immediately bombarded me with questions even before stepping inside my room.
Wait... what? I fainted on the way home?
"What ar...." I started to ask but my mom cut me off in the midle,
"Thank God your classmate bought you home in his car! Such a nice boy he is, honey." she rambled on, caressing the top of my head lovingly, "He wanted to make sure you are alright. He is sitting downstairs right now."
"Which boy?" I asked, scrunching my nose up, as far as the list of boys went in my life, there was only Elliot who was not even aware where I lived. In fact, no one was and they were not supposed to even. Did I have a freaking stalker?!
"Who the hell...?" My voice drifted off low under my breath as I started to slip out of the bed to see who the 'generous gentleman' was.
I started to climb down from my bed but Mom grabbed my shoulders and dragged me back, making me lay down on the bed again.
"No Young Lady!" she hissed with determination, "You are not going to step out of this and come out of this room for at least a few hours of rest. You are going to rest here and I am going to sending the boy upstairs to meet you. He seems so nice and worried about you."
