Connor's eyes were hit with a wave of disappointment. Yet, he managed to pull off a polite smile. "We'll have another shot at it."

Just then, an assistant burst in without knocking. "Mr. Sartori, we have a problem. Little Tim's gone missing."

Connor's face changed instantly at the news. He shot up from his seat. "What do you mean, missing?"

The usually calm and collected Connor showed a rare crack of panic and loss of composure. Those words hit him like a sharp knife straight to the heart. Missing. Missing.

The assistant, voice shaky, explained, "I was playing with the young master in his room, but stepped out to the balcony for a call. It was barely three minutes, and when I turned back, he was gone. We've looked everywhere."

The assistant was visibly trembling. He knew the young master was the pride and joy of everyone at Sartori Corporation. If something truly happened, no amount of apologies would ever be enough.

Connor's fingers tensed up. He directed, "How long has he been missing?"

"Ten, ten minutes."

Connor took a deep breath, trying to gather himself. "He's got to still be in the hotel. Get the manager to pull the surveillance footage, give Tim's photo to all the hotel staff, and have them help search."

He turned to Makiko, "Mr. Makiko, I could really use your help."

Makiko had a lot of influence in the area. If this was a kidnapping, he'd be a real asset. But Connor hoped it wasn't that serious. He knew his son well. Even at just three years old, Tim was quite the little prankster. This wasn't the first time he'd hidden just to watch everyone panic. Still, Connor couldn't take any chances.

He remembered his room number but couldn't find the elevator. This floor seemed completely deserted. Tim scratched his head, spinning around in a bit of a panic.

The elevator doors opened. Chloe stepped out, almost tripping over a little chubby figure. The little one fell back onto his bottom.

"Ouch, watch where you're going! You almost tripped over a kid..." Chloe hadn't been looking where she was going. She was engrossed in an urgent hotel alert about a missing little kid. She was so absorbed in the notice, she hadn't noticed the tiny figure at her feet.

The little boy was mumbling something, rubbing his backside. Chloe quickly bent down to help him up. She had just gotten back from a spa session. Aaron and Grayson were still relaxing in another pool, so she was alone.

As she looked at the child's face, Chloe pulled out her phone to compare him to the photo of the missing boy. To her surprise, the kid everyone was frantically searching for in the hotel was right there in front of her.
