Chloe asked, "What are you doing here? Your family is looking all over for you."
Chloe spoke in French, which Tim clearly couldn't understand. But as soon as Tim looked up and saw Chloe, he froze like a deer in headlights. He stood there, completely still.
Chloe gently tapped his cheek to get his attention, but he didn't react. His big, round eyes were locked onto Chloe. Then, out of nowhere, he burst into tears, crying, "Mommy, Mommy..."
Chloe was caught off guard. This little guy launched himself into her arms like a rocket, clinging to her neck and repeatedly calling her "Mommy." Chloe was bewildered by the whole thing.
But she quickly understood that such a young child must be lost and scared. So, she picked him up and said, "Let's get you back to where you belong."
Chloe carried the child over to the reception desk. The hotel manager breathed a sigh of relief when he heard the child had been found and immediately called Connor's assistant. The assistant, who was right next to Connor, quickly reported, "The young master has been found. The hotel manager will personally take him back to the room."
Connor finally relaxed. "Where was he found?"
"He was brought to the reception by a guest. She spotted him near the elevator just as she received the missing child alert and brought him to the manager."
Connor said, "Find that guest and prepare a nice gift to thank her."
After that, Connor hurried back.
Meanwhile, the hotel manager was all set to escort the precious little one back to his room. But the boy wouldn't let go of the woman he was clinging to, still calling her "Mommy, Mommy."
"No!" Grayson shouted, clearly panicked. "Rose, you need to come back now, immediately!"
He sounded utterly flustered. "You need to come back, Aaron is in trouble."
Hearing that Aaron was in trouble made Chloe's heart skip a beat. Just as she was about to ask more, Grayson hung up.
Chloe knew something serious must have happened to Aaron, or gentle Grayson, who had never raised his voice at her before, wouldn't react this way. Her mind was racing. She couldn't worry about the little boy anymore and dashed for the door.
The little boy tried to follow her, but the manager held him back. As Chloe reached the doorway, she bumped into a man running towards her.
