Drunken Love novel Chapter 9

Rolling my eyes, I quickly pulled my hand away and let him open the door. I nodded at him as if to say 'thank you' as I couldn't find my voice.

What the heck was he thinking?

When we entered, everyone's eyes was on us and again... It was just like in the movies, where everyone is talking but then when the main character comes in, they all stop awkwardly and stare at you. Although, in real life it won't take long before they start whispering and murmuring about you.

They have to be more subtle when talking about others, I thought.

As quickly as I could manage, I waddled my way into the change rooms, feeling embarrassed. Just as I got inside a stall, I quickly locked it and changed, taking my time. I didn't think that anyone noticed me coming in. They were to busy talking about the weekend plans, what type of lipstick they get and whatever girly stuff girly girls talk about.

Once I was done, I couldn't help but over hear the change of topic the girls started talking about. Surprisingly, they were talking about me. I pressed my cheek against the door and eavesdropped.

"I can't believe that four out of the Famous Five are talking and hanging around that Katie girl!"

"Its Kathy," I whispered to no one but myself.

"I know right! Like seriously can't they just go with us cheerleaders? We're much more prettier anyway."

"Well, I just hope that Bradley May doesn't take whatever the other four are taking. Like you never know maybe tomorrow he'll start talking to her!" A high pitched voice said.

"She's wayyy too ugly for them though. Seriously she should find her own place." An even more high pitched voice countered.

"Uh huh! And like the girl should know her limits!"

"Totally!"

I have had enough of hearing them gossip about me so I went out and purposely slammed the door, causing them to look at me with shocked eyes. Their conversation came to a very abrupt stop, just like how I came in the gym. But that didn't last long, just like before. I walked towards my gym locker and put my things away.

After closing and locking it, I turned around to see one blondie walking towards my direction, well more like sashaying her way through. She pushed me back and slammed her hand on the locker behind me.

"Look, Katie-"

I couldn't help but correct her, "I-its Kathy, actually. Well, for you Katherine."

She just rolled her eyes and laughed at me.

"I don't care what your name is and don't try to be a smartass," she screamed at my face, banging on the locker again. "All I want for you is to get away from the Famous Five because you don't deserve them," she pouted making puppy dog eyes.
