When the woman saw that Grace had woken up, she smiled at her kindly. "Grace, you're awake."

Grace frowned. "Am I in the hospital?"

"Yes, a fisherman saved you. Are you from Capern City? How did you and your husband fall into the sea? Don't tell me you had a lover's argument?"

"You young people shouldn't take things too seriously!"

The middle-aged woman talked non-stop.

"My husband..."

Grace instantly thought of Brian. She hurriedly asked, "How is Brian? I mean, my husband, how is he?"

"Your husband seems to be seriously injured. He's in another ward."

Grace quickly got off the bed and ran to the nurses' station outside. She asked anxiously, "Where's the man who came in with me?"

"Miss Grace, don't be anxious. He's still unconscious, but his life is not in danger. Come with me."

The nurse led Grace to the ward Brian was in.

Brian had his head wrapped in thick gauze, and his face was pale.
