Chapter 636 Is She Ambitious
It was Madelyn's day off. Skylar busied herself in the kitchen for hours. Somehow, she managed to get dinner ready. Too lazy to go upstairs, she called Tobias on the phone to get him to come downstairs.

Dinner consisted of grilled pork ribs and tomato soup.

Skylar prepared two plates of spaghetti. Tobias's plate was only a half helping as he usually ate little for dinner.

She had asked Tobias before why he had never been seen to eat excessively. His reply sounded weird to her.

Tobias told her that hunger kept a man's mind clear.

What kind of inhuman endurance is this? That is probably why Tobias will never develop a middle-aged paunch.

“Do you know Saorise?” Skylar spooned some spaghetti into her mouth.

“You know that I do. She is the spokesperson for the Ford Group shopping malls. How could I not know her? I chose her personally.” Tobias placed the biggest chunk of spare rib onto Skylar's plate.

Experience had shown that when talking with Tobias, one should not beat around the bush.

Skylar asked, “Why did you pick her?”

“She's pretty. Other than that, she cannot contribute much.”

It was natural for men to appreciate the beauty in women, and Tobias expressed it frankly. Skylar held back her natural response which was to ask if Saorise were prettier than her. It was such a stupid question.

Obviously, Saorise's beauty was way above her level. Even her raw unedited photos looked great. Her original photos direct from the camera looked ten times better than others.

Tobias did not ask why she suddenly brought up Saorise's name. He was generally not curious at all.

On hearing that she would be going away, Tobias showed no sign of reluctance. He was always traveling throughout the year and it was normal for him to be away for weeks.

As far as Skylar could see, Tobias did not seem to depend on anyone. It seemed as if he enjoyed being alone without being bound to anyone.

Immediately after dinner, Tobias naturally started doing the dishes in the kitchen. The sleeves of his shirt were rolled up to his elbows and his toned muscles revealed his masculine strength.

Skylar watched Tobias' tall well-built figure busy washing up in the kitchen and a peaceful feeling of bliss came over her.

Colleen's words came back to her like a wet blanket, “You need to find a down-to-earth man to get married. If there is a circle you do not fit into, don't try too hard to blend in.”

Skylar was not sure she understood what Colleen meant by a down-to-earth man. Is Tobias above my league and am I too ambitious?
