Alec was left dumbstruck at Brody’s humble and respectful demeanor. “Brody…?” 

Brody shot him a glare, “Are you blind or something? Can’t even recognize the CEO of the company!” 

“The CEO?” Alec was baffled. 

Cam also recognized Jonathan and greeted him politely, “What brings Mr. Lamont here?” 

“My girlfriend was insulted and taken to the police station, so I came to check on her,” Jonathan said coldly, draping an arm over Estelle’s shoulder. 

Estelle tensed up but didn’t dare to push him away in front of all these people, so she sucked it up and tried to stay calm. 

The deputy chief asked the police officers on the scene, “What’s going on here?” 

In a blink, the tables had turned. The cops were secretly relieved that they hadn’t said anything harsh to Jonathan and his crew earlier. They quickly explained the situation. 

After hearing the story, Brody scolded Alec loudly, “That little girl is so young, how could your son push her off the slide? If it wasn’t for Ms. Macclain catching her, could you bear the responsibility if something happened to the kid?” 

Alec hung his head, cold sweat dripping, and didn’t dare to say a word. Honestly, he was still not clear about the situation. Charlie was holding the little girl, his distressed look made him think that the girl was Charlie’s illegitimate daughter. 

But Mr. Lamont just claimed that Estelle was his girlfriend. 

Regardless, he couldn’t afford to offend either Charlie or Mr. Lamont! He was just an ordinary employee in the company, had only heard of the CEO, but never met him. Who knew he would run into him in his own neighborhood! 

A chill went down his spine, knowing his future was probably screwed 

His wife, unaware of the situation, walked over and asked with a frown, “Honey, what’s going on?” 

The fear in Alec’s heart turned into rage. He slapped his wife’s face, “You stupid woman, why didn’t you tell me what happened earlier? misunderstood Ms. Macclain and almost hurt her because of you! It’s all because you failed to discipline our son and caused this mess!” 

His wife was stunned by the slap, covering her face and glaring at Alec, “You hit me? You dare to hit me? You’re always out drinking and fooling around, never caring about me and our son, and now you’re blaming me for not disciplining our son well? What have you done then?” 

Seeing his wife not understanding his words and revealing his secrets in public, Alec got even angrier, kicked his wife and raised his hand to hit her again, “I’m working my ass off to make money, and you’re living off me, now you dare to settle accounts with me?”
