Chapter 1679

Bennett froze.

“Additionally,” Jonathan’s tone turned even colder, “Stop throwing around the name Estelle KING, flaunting it as if it were your own. If I find out, the Macclain family might not be able to handle the consequences. Estelle is off-limits to me, you’d better remember that!”

Bennett held the phone, his face a picture of shock. His heart pounded violently in his chest. The strong oppressive force in Jonathan’s voice sent chills down his spine, even through the phone.

Would Jonathan really make a move against the Macclain family for Estelle?

Simone bustled in through the door. “Done with the call? What did Jonathan say?”

Bennett sat dazed in his chair. “I have a feeling something bad is about to happen!”

Simone frowned. “What exactly did Jonathan say?”

“He said not to use KING’s name for our schemes, not to hurt Estelle, or he won’t let us off the hook!”

Simone scoffed. “And this scared you? Jonathan is all bark and no bite. What could he possibly gain from starting a war over Estelle?”

Bennett shook his head. “You didn’t hear Jonathan’s tone. He means it!”

Simone rolled her eyes. “Relax, it’s all Antonia messing with Estelle, not us. If Jonathan loses his temper, he can’t blame us.”

Bennett wiped his forehead with a tissue. “Have you been in contact with Antonia?”

Simone looked evasive. “Why?”

“Erase all the call logs, chat history. Everything.” Bennett was already doing so on his phone. “Delete it all, block Antonia. Don’t leave any evidence.” Simone still seemed skeptical. “Is that really necessary?”

Bennett’s face hardened, a glint of danger flashing in his eyes. “Do I really need to explain Jonathan’s methods to you?”

Seeing Bennett so serious, Simone didn’t dare to procrastinate any longer. She hastily blocked Antonia on her phone.

Jonathan rang Nate at the Lamont Group. “Find the person posting about KING online. I want all their information.”

Nate acknowledged, “On it.”
