Estelle’s voice was icy. “No, I’m not surprised at all. You came to see me the day before, and I rejected you. The next thing I know, there’s a smear campaign about my background online. I know exactly who’s behind it!” 

Bennett gasped, “Estelle, you can’t possibly suspect me, can you? After all, you are my daughter, how could I possibly harm you?” 

“Whether you did it or not, you know it well, no, we all do!” Estelle was defiant, “Go ahead, let Antonia spill the beans, let’s see if I get scared?” 

Estelle didn’t bother to say more, as if there was nothing left to talk about with Bennett. She hung up the phone. 

Bennett listened to the dial tone on the other end, his heart suddenly chilled!
