Chapter 706

After the infusion was completed, she went to pay for the discharge

procedure. As she was leaving the hospital, she met the nurse who had taken care of her the last night night.

The nurse had just finished her night shift and was about to head home. Seeing Emily alone, she frowned, “Why are you leaving by yourself? Your boyfriend didn’t come?”

Emily’s face was pale and haggard, not knowing how to explain, she just shook her head.

The nurse sighed, “Your boyfriend is so irresponsible!

Shaking her head, the nurse left.

Emily left the hospital, not knowing where to go for a moment.

It was Saturday, so she didn’t have to work, and she didn’t want to go back to her rented place. Suddenly missing her family, she decided to go to her brothers house.

When she arrived, she found that no one was home and the door was locked. So, Emily called Gina.

It took a while for the call to connect, and it was Elliott Sullivan who answered. It sounded noisy, and he shouted, “Emily, what’s up?”

Leaning against the door, Emily asked, “Bro, where are you and mom? Why aren’t you home?”

Elliott laughed, “We’re at the new house. Mom is here too. Come over!”

“Okay, I’ll be right there.”

Emily hung up and rushed to Elliott’s new place.

It wasn’t far, just a ten-minute drive. Emily went upstairs and saw the door open, with some renovations going on inside

Elliott looked at Emily in surprise, “Emily, why have you lost so much weight? Your face doesnt look good either.”

Emily unconsciously touched her face, pretending to be relaxed and laughed. “It’s nothing, just been trying to lose weight recently!”

“You’re already thin, do you need to lose weight?” Elliott laughed.

Gina heard the voices and walked over. Seeing Emily, she hesitated for a moment, and smiled, “Emily, what brings you here?”

Emily replied, “it’s the weekend, so I wanted to see you. I called and found out you guys were here.”

Elliott came over, dusting off his hands, laughing. “Emily, the house should be finished by the New Year. We’ll celebrate here, and you can cancel your rented place. This house is big enough for all of us.”

Emily smiled, “Sounds good!”

Afterward, she asked, “Bro, how did you get the money to renovate the house? Did you get your year-end bonus?”
