Chapter 935

The guy looked at a lady who was picking out candies, happily pushed his cart towards her and excitedly said, “Estelle, is that really you? Long time no see!” The lady, with a box of toffee in her hand turned around to see who was talking to her and suddenly remembered, “Eddie? Long time no see!”

Eddie used to be a part of the production team on Mr. Mayfield’s movie, and he was pretty tight with Craig.

“Heard you went abroad, when did you get back?” Eddie was quite the chatterbox. Seeing the little girl in her cart, he asked with surprise, “You’re married?” Estelle chuckled, glanced at her watch and said, “I have some errands to run, gotta bounce. We’ll catch up later.”

“Sure thing!” Eddie said with a beaming smile.

Estelle placed the candies in the cart and pushed her stuff to checkout.

While lining up, the little girl in the cart reached for the lollipops placed beside the cashier’s desk, “I want candy!”

“You are teething. No candy for you.” Estelle whispered.

The toddler, not even two years old, pouted but obeyed, “Okay!”

“What a good girl!” Estelle pinched her little cheek, saw that the person in front had checked out, and moved the cart forward.

Having paid, Estelle walked with practiced ease towards the parking lot, one hand carrying the shopping bags and the other holding the baby.

After getting in the car and placing the baby in her car seat, Estelle started the car and slowly joined the traffic.

On the road, Estelle received a call from Manley, “Honey, what are you up to?”

Estelle glanced back at the baby, “Just took Kya to the supermarket. We’re almost home!”

“You took Kya out?” Manley sounded a bit reproachful, “Didn’t I tell you I’d be home by noon? Or you could have asked Ms. Simmons to do the shopping.” “We were bored at home and I just wanted to get some fresh air with Kya. We’re almost home, it’s all good!” Estelle said.

Manley was still a bit worried, “Just let me know when you get home!”

Estelle couldn’t help laughing, took a new spoon, scraped a bit from the untouched part of the ice cream and put it in Kya’s mouth, “Just a little bit, okay?”

Kya immediately began to taste, and found it more delicious with each bite. She lunged towards Estelle, climbing all over her with all four limbs.

“I want more!” Kya said.

Estelle was busy trying to hold her back and protect her ice cream. She just couldn’t stop after one bite!

“Go bite her. If she doesn’t give you any, bite her!” A snicker came from the side.

Estelle looked up and saw Manley leaning against the balcony glass door, smirking at her predicament.
