Chapter 942

Her ayes had said it all, and Manley felt a pang of sadness. He immediately said, “Forget it, forget it. If you don’t seize such a golden opportunity, don’t expect me to show

mercy when you regret it later.”

He dropped his hand, and then grabbed her wrist, ‘Come, let’s go get some good eats.”

He took her for a walk, handed her a glass of wine, “You can get drunk tonight, I’m here. I guarantee you will get home safely! Estelle took a sip of the wine and muttered. “The only reason I feel unsafe is because you’re here.”

“Estelle, you trust everyone but mel Manley grumbled.

“No way, who let me know you so well, Estelle couldn’t help but giggle.

“Do you understand me?” Manley approached his eyes flashed, and he whispered seductively, “Why don’t you understand me thoroughly tonight” Estelle’s smile froze, and the gritted her teeth in annoyance, ‘Manley, if you don’t want to be my friend anymore, just say so.

“You’re so irresponsible Manley snorted, “When you take advantage of me, you get close to me, and when you’re done using me, you ruthlessly abandon mel

Estelle’s eyes widened slightly. “Who’s using you? Who got close to you?”

It was clearly him who made the first move!

“Tell me didn’t I help you just now?” Manley raised an eyebrow

Estelle thought he was being childish and turned her head away and ignore him.

Not far away, Jonathan was being toasted by a group of acquaintances

In the middle of their conversation, he glanced casually at the dessert section and saw Estelle smiling, with complicated eyes

Later that night. Estelle bid Gwen farewell and left early.

Jonathan was no longer by Gwen’s side – looks like he’d run into some business friends and had gone outside to chat

Owen bid Estelle goodbye with a happy face, “Craig couldn’t make it today. We’ll have to invite you and Manley for dinner sometime. You guys have always treated us, now it’s our turn to return the favor

Estelle responded coldly. “Sure.

Manley, holding Estelle’s hand, chuckled softly, “Let’s go. Gwen’s got a nose job to attend to after the party, don’t want to hold her up”

Gwen’s smile froze on her face

Estelle turned and left.

“I really can’t understand Jonathan’s taste!” Manley chuckled coldly as he drove.

Estelle looked out of the window at the night scene and didn’t say a word.

Manley glanced at her profile, “What are you thinking about?”

“Nothing, the alcohol’s making me dizzy, Estelle closed her eyes, resting her forehead on the window.

Manley didn’t disturb her anymore, he just took off his jacket and covered her with it.

The car was filled with soothing English songs. Estelle slowly fell asleep, but her sleep was restless. Maybe it was the alcohol, but her brows were furrowed.

When they reached her apartment complex Manley didn’t wake her up, he just stared at her face for a while.

After a while, Estelle suddenly woke up from her dream. She had a layer of sweat on her forehead and was staring blankly at something

Manley immediately leaned in closer and gently touched her head. “Did you have a nightmare?”

Estelle gradually became more aware and realized that the car had already stopped.

She straightened her clothes and slowly moved her stiff neck, saying calmly, “Tim going upstairs now Be careful on your way”

“Aren’t you going to invite me up?” Manley complained a bit

Estelle looked back at him and joked, “I’m afraid I’d kick you off the bed

Manley laughed. “Even if I had to sleep under the bed, I’d still be willing

“Stop talking nonsense, it’s late. Go home early” Estelle said, and then closed the car door
