Chapter 988

He despised Estelle and couldn’t stand Clarice, but Clarice was Manuel’s girl, so he didn’t dare to upset her. So, he just told Clarice, “You bring the diamond to Estelle yourself. We’ll

talk about the rest later.”

After Mr. Kress left, Clarice grabbed Alice’s hair. Before she could finish her words, Alice screamed loudly, attracting the attention of the staff nearby.

Clarice shoved Alice hard, “Bitch!”

Alice fell to the ground, her head lowered, silent. Clarice glared at her, picked up the box with the diamond, and went to see Estelle.

Estelle was working on her computer. Clarice stood outside for a while before she walked in with a cold face, slamming the box with the diamond on the table, “It’s all here!”

After an hour in the sun, Clarice’s hair was soaked with sweat, looking utterly scruffy.

Estelle glanced at her without saying a word. Clarice turned around to leave, but after a few steps, she turned back and said angrily, “I did not order Alice to do this, whether you

believe it or not!”

Estelle’s hand was on the mouse, looking at the half box of broken diamonds, lost in

thought.

Craig came in, looking at Clarice’s retreating figure, and asked, “What was she here for?”

“To bring the diamonds.” Estelle replied lightly.

“What did she say?” Craig frowned, “I thought Mr. Kress was giving you a hard time, not expecting Clarice. What did you do to piss her off?”

Estelle thought of the scene that night, somewhat helplessly said, “It’s a

misunderstanding.”

“Gwen is such a bitch. She was giving you a hard time on purpose, and once Mr. Lamont appeared, her attitude towards you changed immediately. She really is an actress!” Craig sneered, his eyes full of disbelief, “How did we not notice this side of her before!”

Estelle picked up a broken diamond, the cold light of the diamond reflected in her clear eyes, “Probably because she hid it too well.”

“Estelle, you must be feeling awful, aren’t you?” Craig asked, because seeing Jonathan and Gwen together really upset him.

Estelle didn’t look at her, her voice cold, “You go tell Mr. Kress to assign you another job. Don’t follow me anymore.”

Ana was taken aback, “Estelle, you don’t trust me?”

“No, it’s just that we’re not suitable for working together anymore. Go find Mr. Kress!”

Seeing Estelle’s firm tone, Ana didn’t dare to explain anymore, and had to leave as soon as possible.

As the sky grew darker, the workers outside were tidying up the yard. Estelle turned off her computer and got ready to leave.

As she was heading to the parking lot to get her car, Jonathan and Gwen walked towards her. Gwen immediately greeted her with a sweet smile, “Estelle!”

Estelle didn’t speak, her expression was cold as she walked steadily towards her car.

Following Gwen was a young assistant who huffed, “What right does she have to ignore you. What happened to her has nothing to do with us!”

Gwen gave a meaningful smile, looking at Jonathan, “She’s not ignoring me, she’s ignoring Mr. Lamont!”
