Chapter 991

“No worries, we just got here too!” Carson said with a casual smile.

Marina vacated her seat, then sat down next to Carson. Jonathan smoothly took a seat next to Estelle. As they sat in pairs, the atmosphere became a bit tricky.

Marina picked up the menu to order, “Estelle, what do

you want?”

Carson chimed in with a smile, “Estelle has a sweet tooth, you can get her some extra desserts.”

Marina responded immediately, “Having a sweet tooth is probably something all us girls have in common. The ice cream here is pretty good, how about we get two servings each?”

Just the mention of food had Marina’s eyes lighting up.

Before Estelle could nod, Jonathan suddenly said, “One serving is enough, Estelle can’t have ice cream these days.”

They weren’t kids, so everyone instantly understood what Jonathan meant.

Marina was taken aback for a moment. She looked at Estelle and Jonathan, trying to figure out their relationship.

Estelle seemed indifferent. It looked like she wasn’t as close to Jonathan as she was to Carson, but Jonathan’s words had a hint of something more.

Marina suddenly remembered that day at the 9th Mansion, when Estelle was running towards the balcony with a bomb, Jonathan had risked his life to tackle her to the ground. That kind of instinctive protection wasn’t just a spur-of-the-moment thing!

Could it be, Jonathan had feelings for Estelle?

Estelle just looked at Marina, smiled lightly and said, “Please, get me two servings.”

Jonathan looked at Estelle, “One!”

“Two!”

Jonathan coldly said, “Are you always going to be against me?”

Estelle calmly said, “I don’t know what you mean, Mr. Lamont. I make my own decisions, and it’s got nothing to do with being against anyone!”

Jonathan looked at her and said nothing more.

Carson quickly intervened, “Let’s just order one for now, if Estelle thinks it’s really good, we can always order more.”

Tepethen turned to Carson and Marina, “Sorry, Estelle and I have something to discuss,

could you two take another table next door?”

“Of course!” Carson took Marina’s hand and stood up, “You guys chat, we’ll go next door. Order whatever you want, it’s on me.”

As he said this, he winked at Jonathan, “Jonah, Estelle is not in a good mood, cheer her up and don’t get mad!”

Jonathan glanced at Estelle and laughed, “Mad at her? I get nervous whenever she frowns!”

Carson quickly pulled Marina out and politely closed the door.

As soon as they left, Marina pulled her hand away and frowned, “We invited them here. It doesn’t feel right to just leave them.”
