Mariela nodded indifferently. 

Jaime didn’t say anything else; he turned around to leave. 

Not long after he left, Mariela received a text from Lennon. 

“Marie, the engagement ring I custom–ordered for you from Chaumet has arrived at Chaumet Beverly Hills. You can go see it when you have time,” Lennon texted. 

Chaumet was a world–renowned diamond ring brand. 

She had just agreed to the arranged marriage a few days ago, 

Was this ring pre–ordered? 

Mariela did not ask; instead, she texted, “OK.” 

Then she went to Chaumet. 

The shop assistant enthusiastically took out the ring. 

“Ms. Logan, this is the ring Mr. Stark customized for you.” 

Mariela picked up the ring and admired it carefully.
