“And it’s surrounded by rare pink diamonds.

“This ring must have cost at least 1 million dollars. Mariela has some balls to try it on. She can’t afford it at all. Isn’t she embarrassed?” 

In response to Juliette’s provocative words, Mariela simply nodded and continued to admire the ring on her finger nonchalantly. She had to admit that Lennon had great taste. She was very satisfied with this ring. 

“Ms. Logan, your ring looks really beautiful,” Juliette said with a smile. 

“Yeah, I think so, too.” 

Jaime’s face turned extremely ugly.“Mariela, take off the ring.” 

“Why?” Mariela looked at him, pretending to be puzzled. 

“Why are you trying it on? Are you trying to force me into marriage?” He couldn’t hold back his anger anymore.“I will never marry you!” Juliette curled her lips into a subtle smile, secretly pleased. 

“Ms. Logan, Jay and I came today to try on our engagement rings at Perla’s request.” 

Juliette’s meaning was very clear. 

She was implying that she was the daughter–in–law Perla wanted, and Mariela could forget about marrying into the Herman family. Mariela was amused as she looked at the duo.

One arrogantly thought she was forcing him into marriage. 

The other provoked her and flaunted that she had earned Perla’s approval. 

But the Herman family in Los Angeles was so insignificant in Deandre’s eyes. 

“Oh, I see.” Mariela’s tone was indifferent. 

Juliette and Jaime were both stunned for a moment. 

Why didn’t she care at all? 

Juliette scrutinized Mariela’s face, observing her expression, attempting to find a trace of jealousy and discontent on her face. However, Mariela’s expression was impeccable. 

Juliette became unsure at once. 

Was Mariela pretending not to care or did she really not care? 

Jaime’s face had turned extremely sullen. 

“Mariela, are you enjoying yourself? You knew Juliette and I were coming here today to look at the rings, so you were waiting for me here, right? 

“You know what? There’s no future for us. Forcing me into marriage won’t work. “Marriage is about matching social status. With your background, how Jaime was aggressive.“Look at yourself. You’re embarrassing me!” 

He was really pissed off, as he went on for minutes. 

Mariela, however, wasn’t angry at all.
