Mariela sat at the dining table after washing 

Lennon’s cooking surprised her. 

Those were Mariela’s favorite dishes. 

Mariela hadn’t eaten breakfast and was very hungry. 

After washing her face, she felt more awake. 

She started eating, clearly enjoying every bite. 

Lennon sat opposite her, smiling slightly as he watched her eat. 

“Is it good?” he asked softly. 

“Mm–hmm!” Mariela nodded. “Lenny, your cooking is always good.” 

Mariela added, “Wanna grab a bite?” 

“Marie,” Lennon said with a smile. 

“Hmm? What?” she looked up. 

Lennon smiled, his eyes sparkling with affection.“I really felt good last night. So, now it’s my turn to return the favor.” 

Mariela choked on the soup. 

She blushed, biting her lip, embarrassed.“Why did you suddenly bring that up?” 

Lennon offered a gentle smile, “Okay, I won’t bring it up again. Make sure you eat enough, alright?” 

At Lauryn’s villa. 

“Miss, Dalia was taken by Mr. Starks 

men,” the bodyguard in black said, bowing. 

“Why didn’t they just kill her?” Lauryn’s eyes flashed with anger.“Bunch of idiots!” 

“Yes,” the bodyguard replied flatly. 

Lauryn glared at the bodyguard.“You’re useless!” 

“Yes.” 

Lauryn was speechless. 

“Get out!” She grabbed a coffee cup and threw it at him. 

“Yes,” the bodyguard replied. 

After he left, Lauryn stared at the broken cup, took out her phone, and texted. 

“Dalia got taken away by Lennon. So, what’s our next move?” 

Quickly, she got a reply, “I’ll send someone to kill her.”
