This banquet hall was even bigger than Schloss Schönbrunn. 

The music was played by the band in the hall, and the guests chatted, laughed, and toasted. 

Mariela and Lennon immediately caught everyone’s attention as soon as they appeared.

The crowd automatically made way as Mariela and Lennon, hand in hand, slowly entered the banquet hall. They exuded an elegant air, like at prince and princess from the royal family. 

To please Bella, Lauryn wore another gown today that did not match the style of the banquet hall. 

However, no one specified that the formal attire had to match the style of the banquet, so she didn’t think it mattered. 

But at that moment, Lauryn was seething with jealousy as she saw Mariela and Lennon, who looked like a prince and a princess. 

They stole the show as soon as they appeared, leaving all the other well–dressed guests, including Lauryn, in the shadows. 

Lauryn held Bella’s hand. When Mariela and Lennon talked to other people, she said sarcastically, “Bella, look at how Mariela is dressed. You said that her outfit was inappropriate and she should dress like a lady. But today, she went even more over the top. She even dyed her hair. Is she intentionally trying to annoy you?” 

Bella was conservative in her thoughts and traditional in her actions. 

The times had long changed. Cultural exchanges between America and foreign countries became increasingly frequent and globalization was the prevailing trend. However, some older generations still held onto their traditional beliefs and maintained deep prejudices towards stylish 

appearance. 

Hearing Lauryn’s words, Bella became furious. 

She glared at Mariela, who was chatting and laughing with someone not far away. A look of disgust flashed in her eyes. “She knows I don’t like her stylish clothes, but she ignored my thoughts. Look at her dress. She has even influenced Lenny. Her hair is a mess. A woman like this as my granddaughter–in–law is truly embarrassing for our Stark family!” 

“Yes, Bella. Lennon has never worn this kind of formal dress before, so it must be Mariela who forced him to wear it.” 

Bella’s gaze darkened. “I can’t believe I apologized to Lenny last time. I said I was sorry for what I did at the family banquet. This kind of woman shouldn’t be indulged. I didn’t go far enough with what I did during the family banquet.”
