A moment later, Bella said angrily, “You’re right. A woman like her doesn’t deserve Lenny.”
A mischievous smile flashed across Lauryn’s lips.

Mariela played with the girl for a while before the girl’s mother came over.
“Ms. Logan, I’m sorry for the disturbance caused by my daughter.” The woman’s face was filled with remorse, and her attitude was gentle and polite.
Mariela smiled. “It’s okay. She is well–behaved and cute.”
The girl looked at the woman and said softly, “Mom, the princess is so beautiful. I want to take a photo with her. Can you help us take it?”
The woman looked hesitant and turned to Mariela.“Would you mind?”
Mariela gladly agreed.“My pleasure.”
After taking the photo, the girl waved goodbye to Mariela.
Mariela responded with a beaming smile.
Lennon approached and said, “Marie, I’m sorry.”
Mariela didn’t care at all.“It’s not your fault. You shouldn’t apologize.”
“I don’t know why Bella is being so unreasonable. She wasn’t like this before.” Lennon held Mariela’s hand. “If the conflict can’t be resolved, we’ll see her less in the future. There’s no need to put up with her anger.”
Mariela looked up and met his gaze.“What if your grandmother opposes our marriage?”
Lennon said, “I can make decisions about my marriage. Her opposition is useless.”
Mariela nodded. “That’s enough with your
words.”
Mariela caught sight of two familiar figures in the crowd. “I’ll go and spend some time with Caylee and Fiona. You stay by yourself for a while.”
Lennon thought, “I am abandoned.”
He felt aggrieved in his heart, but he did not speak it out.
Lennon remained calm and said with a flat voice, “Okay, go ahead.”
Mariela walked towards Caylee.
Suddenly, something bad happened.
Lauryn emerged from nowhere and collided with Mariela, causing the glass in her hand to fall and the red wine to spill all over Mariela’s dress.
Lauryn gently covered her mouth, her expression exaggerated with wide eyes and an open mouth.“Oh, Marie, why are you so careless?”
