The television in the living room on the first floor of the Stark’s villa was broadcasting current affairs news. 

“This afternoon, a serious traffic accident occurred in Rochester. Now, we are connecting with an on–site reporter to gather information.” 

“Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen. It is currently 4:15 in the afternoon. I am on the provincial road in Rochester. At 3:40 in the afternoon, a citizen reported a serious traffic accident. As you can see, a vehicle crashed into the guardrail on the right side of the road. The vehicle is severely damaged, and the driver is critically injured and unconscious. He has been transported to the hospital for treatment.

Robert frowned and stared at the television screen.

Lennon rubbed his temples wearily and sat down on the couch, “Yes.” 

Robert asked again,“I heard Deandre fell off the stairs.” 

Lennon calmly nodded. 

Robert furrowed his brow, staring at the news on the television and pondering. The atmosphere was somewhat strange. 

The servant brought a steaming cup of coffee, and Lennon lifted the cup and took a sip. 

“Lenny, you have to break up with Mariela.” 

Lennon gently put down the cup, and a shadow appeared in his dark eyes. 

He remained silent and did not respond. 

Robert sighed and said in a low voice, “Your struggle with Nikolas should not involve the Logan family. He can’t hurt you, so he has to go after Mariela.” 

“You’re right,” Lennon replied absentmindedly. 

Robert spoke earnestly, “You and Mariela only have a verbal engagement. Fortunately, you’re not formally engaged yet, so it’s not so difficult to let go. A breakup can draw a clear boundary. We can compensate the Logan family. I will personally visit them to apologize. I believe they will understand.” 

Not so difficult to let go? 

Lennon suddenly laughed, but the smile didn’t reach his eyes. His voice was soft, filled with a sense of brokenness, “How can I let go?” 

Robert was slightly stunned by the words, and then he looked inquisitively, “Are you in deep love with Mariela?”
