Chapter 335
The sky turned bright, and a faint light of dawn gently fell on Marie’s face through the glass window, illuminating her pale and haggard complexion.
Marie sat by the window all night until dawn came and she fell into a light sleep leaning against the window.
She didn’t sleep well that night, having several intermittent dreams about Lennon and waking up several times in between.
In the last dream, she dreamed of Lennon and Shayla standing in front of her hand in hand. Lennon had a smile in his eyes and a happy expression on his face. He told her that he was getting married and asked her to attend his wedding.
Marie cried in her dream.
When she woke up, tears were streaming down her face.
Sonia knocked on the door outside and said, “Ms. Logan, are you awake? It’s time for lunch.”
Menu
Marie wiped her tears and walked to the door, pulling it open.“Sonia, you eat first. I’m going to take a shower and change clothes before coming downstairs.”
Sonia noticed Marie’s haggard face, with dark circles under her eyes, and hesitantly asked, “Ms. Logan, did you not sleep well last night?” Auntie didn’t use Twitter, so she didn’t know about Lennon’s scandal, and she was also unaware that the Stark family and the Logan family had an engagement before that was called off.
She thought that Lennon and Marie were in a romantic relationship. Lennon was very concerned about Marie and specifically told her to take good care of Marie. When she saw that Marie looked pale, she asked with concern.
Marie was very tired.
She only slept for five hours, and it was intermittent.
“I am fine. Don’t worry.”
Sonia didn’t ask any more questions and just said, “Then you go take a shower first. I’ll put the food in the pot to heat up. I’m afraid it will get cold later.”
“Sorry to trouble you.”
“You don’t need to be polite. These are things I should do.”
Sonia turned and went downstairs. Marie closed the door, leaned against it, slowly descended, and finally sat on the ground.
