It was from Deandre. 

Marie remembered that he had said yesterday that he would send someone to pick her up today, so she answered the phone.

On the other end of the phone, Deandre’s voice was gentle and deep, with concerns and affection.“Marie, how are you? Have you been eating well and sleeping well?” 

Marie’s nose twitched, and her eyelashes were wet 

with tears. 

She whispered, “I’m fine, nothing serious.” 

Deandre paused. 

Marie was clearly lying. 

Just by listening to her voice, he could tell that she was not good. She definitely didn’t sleep well last night and didn’t eat properly either. She was so weak with a feeble voice. 

Deandre sighed. 

He felt sad in his mind. After calming himself down, he spoke again,“Marie, the morning press conference is over. We have officially announced the cancellation of the engagement. I have sent a car to pick you up. Please come home after you finish lunch.” 

Marie’s lips moved. She wanted to say something, but in the end, she didn’t speak and just weakly murmured, “Well.” 

“Then you go and have your meal first. I’ll hang up.” 

Deandre knew that his daughter was feeling upset and needed some time alone, so he conscientiously hung up the phone after finishing the 

conversation. 

Marie sat on the floor for a while before dragging her tired and numb body like a walking dead into the bathroom. 

Downstairs, Sonia dialed Lennon’s phone number. 

In order to receive Marie’s news as soon as possible, Lennon specifically gave his personal number to Sonia. 

“Hello, Mr. Stark, I am Sonia taking care of Ms. Logan. Ms. Logan has been in a poor mental state since yesterday, and I don’t know what happened to her. “I made all the dishes that Ms. Logan loves to eat. Just now, she said she would come downstairs to eat after taking a shower,” Sonia paused and continued, “I can see that Ms. Logan’s condition is really poor. Would you like to come and take a look?” 

Lennon’s lips tightened, and his voice sounded weary, “No, someone will pick her up and take her home today.” 

“Okay then.” 

Marie finished taking a shower and went downstairs.
