Nikolas was tall and lean with broad shoulders, a slim waist, and long legs. Well–dressed, he looked harmless when he had a smile on his handsome face. 

Nobody would connect Nikolas with a criminal as long as the latter wanted.

This was Mariela’s first meeting with Nikolas. Hearing her name from a well–dressed stranger, Mariela couldn’t help but think that Nikolas might be a friend of her friends. 

Nikolas did not introduce himself but looked at Mariela meaningfully. “As expected, you are beautiful.” 

This comment brought Ivy a slight frown on her face and a flash of jealousy in her eyes. 

She was unaware of Nikolas‘ feuds with the Starks and the Logans. A good mistress should be meek instead of nosy, so Ivy never interfered with Nikolas’s affairs. 

Ivy quietly stood by Nikolas and discreetly observed Mariela. 

Well, Ivy had to admit that Nikolas‘ opinion was objective. It was easy to tell that Mariela was born beautiful. Her skin was fair, and her facial features were delicate without the slightest trace of plastic surgery. Besides, she was in good shape with a slim waist and long legs. She looked lean but had big boobs.

She furrowed her brows at Nikolas‘ frivolous remark. 

She had a bad impression of the stranger before her. 

She felt he gazed at her like a prey, aggressive and interested.

“Me?” Nikolas smiled and refused to answer the question directly.“You will soon know. Ms. Logan, we will meet again.”

Mariela brushed past Nikolas and walked to pay the bill. 

Gia followed behind Mariela. She couldn’t help but look back at Nikolas when she stepped out of the restaurant. “Marie, is that man your friend? He is so handsome! It is rare to see men like him in life.” 

Mariela felt uneasy, and she didn’t know why. 

“I don’t like that man, and I have no idea why,” Mariela thought. 

She replied absentmindedly, “I don’t know him. He is a weirdo. Forget him.”
