Mariela rang Lucy and asked Lucy to dump all her belongings in Azure Villa. 

Lucy said okay while stealing a few glances at Lennon sitting on the sofa. 

After the call, she said, “Mr. Stark, Ms. Logan told me to throw away all her things.” 

Lennon sounded tired. “Don’t. Clean her room every day because she will come back one day.” 

“I…” Lucy was hesitant about whether to speak her mind. 

She had been hired by Lennon to cook for Mariela, What would happen to her after Mariela left? 

Would she be laid off? 

After a moment of silence, Lennon said, “She moved out. Can she find a cook who can cater to her taste?” 

Fifteen minutes later, Mariela received a call from Lucy. 

“Ms. Logan, I just got fired. Do you need a cook?” 

After the shock, Mariela quickly picked up on what Lucy had said. 

Lennon had hired Lucy to cook for Mariela, so it was understandable that Lucy got fired after Mariela moved out. Lucy’s arrival would remind Mariela of Lennon who had taken the trouble to learn to cook and hire a good cook for her. 

In the past, Lennon had been very thoughtful toward Mariela. 

Mariela wanted to say no but couldn’t open her mouth at the thought that Lucy was jobless now. 

“Yes, I do. I will send you my address. Give me a call before you come over.” 

Lucy asked with a smile, “Are you at home? Can I 

go 

now?” 

“Sure, come then.”

After the call, Lucy said, “Mr. Stark, Ms. Logan agreed.” 

“Great. She forgets her meals when she is busy. The law firm is close to her apartment. Send lunch to her on weekdays, and I will pay you. You can take the salary from Marie at the same time, but keep it a secret that I sent you over.” 

Overjoyed with the dual income, Lucy responded, “Don’t worry, Mr. Stark. You have my word that I will take good care of Ms. Logan.” 

After New Year’s Day, Lennon became busy. He worked late every day. 

He kept himself busy, and the reason was that he would think of Mariela whenever he was idle. 

Lennon worked in his office. 

Sitting on the couch, Darryl looked at Lennon with a complex look.“Lenny, there’s something I don’t know whether to tell you.”
