Chapter 365
Marie walked past with a cold face, ignoring them.
After she left, Shayla tapped Lennon’s arm and said, “Hey, what a coincidence. She is on the same flight as us.”
Lennon lowered his gaze and remained silent.
“Yikes, look at that storm cloud over your head. Man, we’re in for a rough ride with this one.”

The next morning, Marie and Alan arrived at the golf course.
Marie was dressed in white sportswear today, with a high ponytail, looking youthful and vibrant. Kelton’s eyes lit up as soon as he saw her. Alan introduced, “This is Mr. Hardin from BrightPath Group. Mr. Hardin, hello. This is Ms. Logan from our law firm.”
Marie smiled and greeted, “Hello, Mr. Hardin.”
Her smile made Kelton’s heart flutter even more.
Kelton smiled and said, “I didn’t expect your law firm to have such a young and beautiful female lawyer.”
Marie smiled and remained silent, while Alan nodded in agreement.
“Does Ms. Logan also play golf often?” Kelton asked.
Marie shook her head.“I only know a little.”
Kelton’s smile grew wider as he knew an opportunity was at the corner. “No problem. I can teach you,” he said.
“What are you guys talking about? You look so happy.”
Just as they were speaking, a male voice sounded.
Marie froze for a moment.
Lennon walked over, followed by a companion.
Kelton’s posture stiffened into deference, every syllable now clipped and precise where theatrical flair had reigned moments before.“I had a pleasant conversation with Ms. Logan about our interests and hobbies.”
Marie tightened her hands hanging by her side, raised her gaze to meet Lennon’s eyes, and politely and distantly called out, “Mr. Stark.”
Alan didn’t usually spend much time at the law firm, nor did he pay attention to entertainment news. Although he recognized Shayla’s face, he had no idea that she had recently been involved in a scandal with Lennon, let alone that the president of the Stark Group was Mariela’s ex–boyfriend.
Alan didn’t usually come into contact with people of Lennon’s status, but he was observative. When he saw Kelton treating Lennon with respect, he immediately understood that Lennon had an extraordinary identity.
He also respectfully greeted, “Hello, Mr. Stark.”
Lennon’s gaze fell upon Marie.
All done up in sporty gear with that high ponytail swinging, she was radiating college coed vibes. It was no wonder that the old goat had been staring at her.
Lennon’s gaze shifted downward, and he saw Marie’s long and fair legs beneath her short skirt. He furrowed his brows slightly.
She looked so stunning, being with two old men. Lennon suddenly felt a surge of annoyance in his heart.
He was almost unable to resist taking off his coat and tying it around Marie’s waist and then driving away the two men beside her.
Lennon tried his best to endure the annoyance and displeasure. His eyes were faint, and he responded with a nonchalant “Hmm,” without any expression on his face.
