The rumors of Lennon and Shayla were everywhere in the entertainment news. 

Marie didn’t pay much attention, but from time to time, she could always hear her colleagues gossiping about their affairs. “Have you guys seen the Trending? Shayla and Lennon went on a vacation to an island. They make a great couple. Both of them are good–looking! Ahh, they are so adorable!” 

“Needless to say, Shayla is the prettiest in the entertainment industry! Apart from her, no one could match Lennon.”

Marie stood at the door of the pantry, holding a cup of water. She heard the conversation inside and stopped in her tracks, sighing helplessly. She didn’t say anything and turned around. 

Sometimes, when Marie saw Shayla’s giant poster on the LED screen in the mall, she would unconsciously stop with mixed feelings. 

She wondered, “Turns out he likes this type of girl. 

“She is stunningly beautiful, with a flirtatious and alluring smile.” 

The day of the business trip arrived quickly. 

Marie followed Alan onto the flight to Illinois. 

As Marie passed by the first–class cabin, she unexpectedly caught sight of the face she had longed for.

Lennon, dressed in a black coat, looked cool and noble as he sat in his seat, gazing at his laptop. 

Beside him, Shayla smiled brightly. 

Feeling the burning gaze, Lennon lifted his head from the computer screen and met Marie’s eyes, momentarily stunned. 

The atmosphere was subtle. 

The air was filled with a faint jealousy. 

Shayla laughed brightly and greeted Marie, “Ms. Logan, we met again.”
