Chapter 371 

At the restaurant. 

Kelton booked a luxury private room. 

Although there were only five of them, the table was big enough to accommodate ten people. 

Kelton kindly pulled out a chair and bowed to Lennon, making a “please” gesture. 

“Mr. Stark, please have a seat.” 

Lennon had become accustomed to others flattering him and sat down. 

But it was the first time for Marie to see how others treated the president of the Stark Group in public. 

Lennon, faced with flattery, had an indifferent and cold expression. 

This made Marie feel very unfamiliar. She found it difficult to connect the cold and aloof man in front of her with the man who used to cook for her while wearing an apron. 

After Lennon sat down, Frank took a seat on his right side. 

Kelton then chose a seat to the left of Lennon, with an empty seat in between. 

He was very particular about choosing his seat. If it was too far away, it would not be conducive to talking business, and if it was too close, it might offend Lennon. 

So Kelton deliberately sat with an empty seat separating them. 

Alan sat down next to Kelton’s left side. 

Marie deliberately chose the farthest seat from Lennon and sat directly across from him. 

Lennon leaned back in his chair, with his gaze coldly sweeping past. A fleeting sense of loss appeared in his eyes. 

Frank noticed it and silently sighed in his heart. 

They loved each other, after all. 

After everyone had taken their seats, Kelton pushed the menu in front of Lennon and said, “Mr. Stark, please.” 

Lennon casually flipped through the menu, mentioned a few dish names, and then pushed the menu back to Kelton. 

Kelton added a few more main dishes. 

Marie kept her eyes down, afraid to look at the man across from her. She just stared blankly at the glass turntable. 

The dishes that Lennon just told the waiter were all her favorites. 

Marie suddenly wanted to complain. 

They broke up, yet he still did these meaningless things. First, he asked her to stay and have a meal, then he ordered the dishes to her taste. 

What did he mean by this? Was he playing the role of a devoted ex–boyfriend? 

In front of Alan and Kelton, Marie couldn’t simply get up and leave. 

But staying in the same room with Lennon, she felt suffocated and couldn’t catch her breath. 

She couldn’t understand Lennon. 

Lennon chatted casually with the people around him, but his gaze couldn’t help but constantly fall on the girl across from him. 

The girl sat there with her head down, neither speaking nor playing with her phone. Lennon felt the urge to reach out and tousle her fluffy head, and also to tightly embrace her in his arms.
