The waiter served the dishes. 

Marie remained silent and focused on eating.

She was hungry. Last night, she ran into Lennon and Shayla on the plane. She felt uncomfortable all night and had no appetite to eat. She even had trouble sleeping. But early in the morning, she rushed to the court without having breakfast. 

Marie couldn’t join in their conversation, nor did she want to. She simply focused on eating. 

Lennon agreed to collaborate with BrightPath Group and said that he would have his assistant come to sign the contract with Kelton tomorrow. Kelton was so happy that he drank a lot. 

As the alcohol took effect, Kelton went from being initially reserved and fawning to gradually sharing his rags–to–riches story, speaking non–stop with a flushed face. 

Lennon turned a deaf ear to Kelton’s bragging and his mind was constantly drawn by the girl across from him, unable to control his gaze glancing over there. He twirled the glass turntable with his fingers, making sure the dishes she liked stopped in front of her. Kelton and Alan were busy drinking and chatting, not paying attention to Lennon’s movements, but Frank saw everything clearly. 

He shook his head helplessly, realizing that Lennon was a hopeless romantic.

Lennon, who had always been calm and composed, had countless admirers since childhood. Among them, there were persistent pursuers like Dalia, but Lennon, as indifferent as ever, had never been moved by those people. 

Frank used to think that Lennon was asexual and not interested in women until he saw Mariela’s photo at his house, and then he realized that Lennon was not uninterested in women but had someone hidden in his heart. 

He refused everyone for her. 

After dinner, Kelton got extremely drunk. The restaurant manager had already called a designated driver for him, and Kelton left first.

Alan bid farewell to Lennon and Frank.“Mr. Stark, Mr. Olson, we will be leaving now.” 

Lennon remained silent. 

There was something improper for Lennon to say, and Frank understood him. He asked on Lennon’s behalf, “Are you guys taking a taxi back?” Alan replied, “Well, Ms. Logan and I are here on a business trip. We’ll stay at a hotel.” 

Lennon’s brow slightly furrowed upon hearing the words. 

Frank knew that he was not comfortable letting Marie go back to the hotel with the middle–aged drunkard, so he immediately spoke up.“Let me take Ms. Logan back. I didn’t drink. I can drive.”
