Lennon was unwilling to visit the Phillips family, so Bella invited the Phillips family to come to her house as guests.

Bella kept it a secret from Lennon that the Phillips family would be coming that day. She only mentioned that there would be a family dinner and insisted that Lennon must come home. 

The Stark Group’s companies of all sizes would start work two days later, and Robert would return to Washington by then. As usual, the Stark family would host a family banquet on this day. So, when Bella asked Lennon to come home, he did not doubt it. 

As Lennon entered the door, he heard laughter coming from the hall. 

He handed his coat to the servant and asked, “Do we have any guests at home today?” 

The servant smiled and replied, “Yes, the Phillips family came to pay a New Year’s visit.” 

Lennon frowned slightly. “The Phillips family? Who’s that?” 

The servant replied, “Your grandma took you to visit the Phillips family for the New Year last time. The granddaughter of the Phillips family also came.” 

Lennon understood immediately. 

It turned out that today’s family banquet was just a cover–up. Bella’s true intention was to arrange a blind date for him. 

As they were talking, Lauryn saw Lennon. 

She hurriedly walked over.“Lenny, Kara is here. You’ll have a blind date today. Better find an excuse to leave.” 

“Lenny is back?” Bella’s voice came, and Lauryn’s face stiffened. 

Bella, supported by Kara, walked over with a smiling face and said, “Lenny, you finally came back. We have been waiting for you for a while.” Lennon’s gaze briefly swept over Kara’s face, his tone casual.“Grandma, unfortunately, my company has an urgent project that requires me to handle. I won’t have dinner. I’ll go to my dad’s study to get some documents.” 

“Isn’t it just the sixth day after the New Year today? The company hasn’t started working yet.” Bella’s sharp gaze swept over Lennon, her tone neither slow nor fast.“After all, I am a member of the board of directors of the group and a member of the shareholders‘ meeting. Even if there are urgent projects, they should be decided by our shareholders‘ meeting, right? How come I didn’t know there was any urgent project recently?”
