“But speaking of Bryce, he really is hot. I had a crush on him for a while before, but unfortunately, he wasn’t interested in me at all,” Fiona sighed. “I was down for three days after he wouldn’t go out with me.” 

Mariela looked at her with a smile and said, “Ah? When did that happen? Why didn’t I know?” 

“It was so embarrassing,” Fiona muttered, “of course, I couldn’t let you guys know about that, but girls who admitted they liked Bryce were countless, so it was not that embarrassing.” 

Mariela joked with a smile, “How come you are contradicting yourself? One moment you say it was embarrassing, and the next moment you say it was not.” 

“Ugh, just forget about it,” Fiona laughed and patted Mariela.“Don’t take it so seriously.” 

“Let me show you his photo, so cute! No wonder I liked him, and girls would compare him to Lennon. After all these years, among the people I know, only Bryce’s looks can be compared to Lennon’s.”

“Do you still have his photo?” Caylee asked in surprise. 

Fiona answered while scrolling through her phone, “No, my photos must be automatically synched to my iCloud back in college, and I was too lazy to delete them. So I can still find it.” 

Mariela laughed, “Okay then.” 

A few minutes later, Fiona found Bryce’s photo and handed her phone to Mariela, saying, “Here, this is Bryce. What do you think? Handsome, right?” 

Mariela lowered her eyes and looked at that photo. 

It seemed like he was in a library. 

The boy sat by the window, reading, with a bookshelf filled with books behind him. 

The orange sunlight fell upon him and outlined his delicate features. His sharp eyebrows and starry eyes, together with his high, straight nose bridge, really made him impossibly good–looking. 

Mariela looked at the photo and was slightly stunned. She felt like she had seen this person somewhere before.
