The night before. 

Deandre was calling the Stark family. 

“Is the fact that Marie is missing related to your family’s illegitimate son?” Deandre asked, suppressing his anger. 

Royce’s face stiffened.“What? Marie is missing? Have you called the police?” 

“The police called me to confirm that Marie was missing. We’ve tried calling her several times, but it’s always the same, no answer. I went with my wife to her place and the law office to search, but there was no trace of her.” 

Deandre’s voice was filled with fury. “Where is Lennon? What is he doing right now? Isn’t he going to look for Marie now that she’s gone missing?” 

“We just found out that Marie is missing. Lenny is still at the company, busy with work. He probably doesn’t know about this yet. I’ll call him right away. Don’t worry. Marie should be fine. Maybe her phone just ran out of battery. Once it’s charged, she might contact you on her own.” Royce tried to reassure him. 

“Out of battery? How is that possible? We searched for her all night, and we couldn’t find a single trace of her. You just don’t care about her at all because she’s not your child!” 

Royce replied, “Deandre, please calm down.” 

“Calm down? How do I calm down?” Deandre grew more furious, raising his voice to shout, “If Lennon suddenly went missing, could you 

down?” 

Royce could only sigh at the shouting.“Let’s see what the police say first.” 

Rayne was sitting beside Royce. The sound of Deandre’s voice on the phone was loud, and Rayne could hear most of what was being said. She liked Mariela a lot and regarded her as her daughter. 

When she heard that Mariela was missing, Rayne immediately became anxious and worried. 

“What’s going on? Is Marie missing?” Rayne couldn’t help but ask. 

Royce spoke for a while on the phone before hanging up. 

“Yes, Deandre said they can’t get in touch with Marie. He and Haleigh searched for her all night.” 

Rayne’s brow furrowed. “Have they called the police?” 

Royce replied, “The police contacted them first and told them about it.” 

“Does Lenny know? Tell him now and ask him to help look for her.” 

“I’ll call him now.” 

Just as Royce was about to call Lennon, Lennon called him. 

Lennon got straight to the point, “Dad, you know Marie is missing, right? She’s been kidnapped.”
