After her anger subsided, a sense of grievance filled her heart. Tears welled up in her eyes as she sat alone on the sofa in the living room, crying until her eyes were swollen and red. 

The loud argument from earlier in the living room had been overheard by one of the maids who was working nearby. 

This maid had been serving Bella for over twenty years. Whenever something unusual happened in the house, she would report it to Bella right 

away.

Bella was stunned for a moment, a look of disbelief on her face.“Are you saying Nikolas kidnapped Mariela?”

Gibbs’s face became gloomy, and a hint of anger flickered in her eyes. “That’s too much!” 

Bella didn’t like Mariela, but she couldn’t tolerate such a serious crime like kidnapping.
