“Not for now.” Mariela shook her head. “There’s already a psychologist providing in–home treatment. Let’s see how it goes for a while. If it doesn’t work, I’ll contact you. Thank you, Mr. Vance.” 

Bryce’s eyes softened. “No need to be so formal with me.”

“After all, I’m one of the partners, essentially the law firm’s boss.” Bryce smiled, joking.“If your state affects your work and we lose the case, failing to recover the money, it’s me who suffers.” 

Mariela knew he was joking and smiled.“Don’t worry, Mr. Vance. I won’t let you suffer. Worries aside, my professional skills are unquestionable.” 

Mariela picked up a court verdict and waved it at Bryce. “See, just received another favorable verdict. The court supported all our claims, and the 24 thousand dollars just came in.” 

Bryce’s eyes curved into a smile.“As expected of Ms. Logan.” 

Mariela’s mood lightened a bit, and she joked, “Don’t worry, working with me won’t leave you starving.”
