The sea water was freezing cold. Lauryn was shivering all over with her lips turning blue, and her hands and feet started to spam 

and twitch. 

She choked on a lot of seawater, making it increasingly difficult for her to breathe. She struggled for a while and gradually gen 

weaker. 

As Lauryn was sinking and her cries grew weaker, the man started to panic. 

He cursed, Damn it! You can’t swim! Damn it, I have to rescue you? 

On such a cold day, he did not want to jump into the sea to rescue her. 

He scanned the surroundings and saw an orange swimming ring hanging next to him 

The man took off the swimming ring and threw it into the sea. “Stupid woman, grab the swimming ring and come up by yourself I’m not going down to rescue you on such a cold day!” 

Lauryn reached out her hand, but she didn’t have the strength to swim over. 

The man saw that she couldn’t reach the swimming ring and was about to sink. He muttered a curse and reluctantly jumped into 

the sea. 

Lauryn was rescued, but she had drunk a lot of seawater and suffered from the cold. She had passed out. 

“Did she damn well die?” the man cursed. 

The man next to him frowned and said, “Come on, bro. Did you clean her up like this when I asked you to take her for a cleaning? The man shivered from the cold, “You have no idea how smelly she was. I couldn’t stand it anymore, so I had to throw her into the sea. Who knew she couldn’t swim? I have to rescue her myself. I’m freezing to death. Take her away and find a doctor to check on her. Don’t let her die. I’ll go change my clothes.” 

“Okay, you hurry up. Boss will lose his temper when he sees that you are not here upon his arrival.* 

“I know.” 

Lauryn opened her eyes again three hours later. 

As consciousness gradually returned, she turned her eyes and surveyed her surroundings. 

The dark and cramped space resembled the room on the boat. 

She felt the movement. Lauryn guessed that she must be in a car at the moment. 

This pitch–black place should be the cargo compartment of a large truck. 

Her clothes were still wet, but now, she had a thick blanket. It seemed that those people were afraid she would freeze to death. Lauryn tightly wrapped herself in the blanket with her hands hugging herself and cried with her shoulders trembling slightly. The trip was really tough for her. 

She no longer looked like a wealthy young lady. Even without looking in the mirror, she could guess that she must look similar to a beggar.
