Lennon nodded slightly and said, “Now, it’s your turn to apologize for what you did before.” 

“Matthew,” Lennon said calmly, “take her outside.” 

“Yes, sir.” 

Lauryn asked, “Where are you taking me?” 

Lennon did not answer. 

He turned around indifferently and walked out at a steady pace. 

There was a large open space outdoors. 

A helicopter was parked on the ground. 

Matthew commanded his subordinates to carry Lauryn out and throw her to the ground. 

Then, a man tied Lauryn’s hands together with a thick rope, and the other end of the rope was tied to the rack underneath the helicopter. 

A few minutes later, the helicopter started its engine and took off. 

Lauryn was suspended from a helicopter, floating in the air. 

The early spring wind still carried a chill, and the higher the helicopter flew, the stronger and colder the wind became. The howling wind was chilling and piercing. Lauryn was wearing thin clothes, and she was not resistant to the cold. Hanging in mid–air, being tormented by the cold wind, she would probably succumb to hypothermia and die before long. 

Half an hour later. 

Matthew wanted to tell Lennon that time was almost up and Lauryn couldn’t hold on much longer. 

Did Lennon want Lauryn to die here today? 

Matthew glanced at Lennon. Matthew wanted to say something but hesitated.

It was not because Matthew was feeling sorry for Lauryn. Lauryn was as cold–hearted as a snake, and several people had been killed by her. Compared to what Lauryn had done to those innocent people, the punishment she was receiving then was nothing at all. 

But if Lauryn died because of Lennon, it would be difficult to explain to Robert and Bella. 

Lennon had no expression on his face. 

There was not the slightest intention to stop. 

Matthew couldn’t figure out what Lennon meant. 

He knew how important Mariela was in Lennon’s heart. 

He didn’t doubt that Lennon would mercilessly kill Lauryn to avenge Mariela. 

But if that was the case, what about Robert and Bella? 

After all, Lauryn was the adopted daughter of the Stark family, and Bella loved her so much. It went without saying that according to Robert and Bella’s intentions, even if Lauryn had committed a criminal act, she should be taken to the judicial authorities.
