Laura's simple query stretched my lips in a booming smile despite pain, her innocence was indeed the mirror of her pure heart. She was a part of this treacherous world, but still, nothing could contaminate her soul. Just like a Lotus flower, flowing gracefully over the dirty water.

Looking at me attentively, Laura waited for my response. I felt my heart flooded with her love as I replied to her softly.

"I apologize for confusing you, Laura. So, here is the truth.

My mom is aware of my age, but in our family, young people aren't allowed to make big decisions regarding business and life."

I could read the 'confusion' written in bold letters on Laura's face, she was perplexed to hear about the cursed practices of my household.
