What?

Melody?

Not again!

How could I forget Leo’s beloved mistress, who used to follow him everywhere like a lost puppy? There was no doubt that only a heartless woman was capable of hurting my little girl.

Anger curled hot and unstoppable in my gut like a blazing inferno, wanting to burn that horrible woman for attacking Jane.

Everyone was shocked after listening to Zoe’s statement, unable to believe it as their jaws dropped, they stared at him wide-eyed.

But Leo’s expressions remained unchanged, he was the same indifferent man standing beside emotionally wounded Laura, careless of her agony.

But I didn’t give a damn about his indifference. I wasn’t a weak girl who couldn’t defend her loved ones now!

Echo came with my security staff, so I eyed her, she didn’t waste a second and rushed towards the lockers. It didn’t take her much time to look for Melody, they both returned briefly.

“Here she is, ma’am!”

Echo spoke curtly, her accusative tone shook Melody’s body. She trembled all over when she noticed my army of strong guards. It must have dawned on her that she had crossed with the wrong person.

The blood coursing through my body changed into molten lava as I glared at Melody’s perfect figure, the ugliness of her personality nauseated me to the core. I stepped up to her and raised my hand, slapping her hard across her face.

“What’s your deal, coming after me and my daughter over and over again, Melody?”

Stumbling backwards, Melody’s hand flew to her cheek to cover her face, she recoiled in horror. The impact of my slap broke the bounds of tears in her eyes as she started crying and ran to hide behind her lovely Leo.

“Babe, stop this crazy woman!”

That coward!

I wanted to yank her from her hideout, but Leo halted me in my tracks, standing before her like a gigantic mountain. He grabbed my wrist and stopped me from approaching his mistress.

His face darkened as he parted his lips to speak up for her. I couldn’t fathom why he was so adamant of protecting Melody despite her crimes.

Well, Good luck for defending her in front of Laura Becker!

Paying no heed to his stupid interference, I took a bold decision in a split second and used my free hand to slap Leo as well. The loud sound of slap again resonated in the surroundings.

Melody’s startled gasp was the only reaction as Leo stood frozen, flabbergasted by my courage. My hand hurt with the force of slap, but I instantly composed myself, freeing my other hand from his hold as well. It was indeed a very small price to pay for my daughter’s justice.

Well, I wouldn't be Laura Becker if I was scared by the puny media!

I waved my hand, and my guards came into action, they spread throughout the whole building. Within five minutes, they pulled out the hidden reporters and snatched their cameras. Echo reported to me.

“All the footage is deleted, ma’am.”

My lips curled up in a challenging smirk as I looked at Leo and Melody, flexing my real power. His lovely girlfriend didn’t like Leo’s suggestion for alerting me, although he was trying to save her ass from bigger trouble. She yelled at him.

“How could you do this to me for that bitch, Leo? I have been by your side for so many years!”

What a joke!

In case, the video of our interaction got viral, I would have caught her soon. Dragging her to court for defamation charges was just a glimpse of her payback for messing with Laura Becker!

But it was enough!

I couldn’t hear Melody’s nonsense anymore and slapped Melody again, her drama had already wasted my time. Venting out my monstrous rage felt so good as I spat out.

“Only two slaps today is me being generous, Miss Melody!”
