He was already mortified from being hit by a girl, and now it was even worse—someone had gone and tattled to the school authorities, demanding an investigation. If he found out who was behind this, there'd be hell to pay.
"Alright, I get it. I'm heading to the principal's office," he grumbled, hanging up the phone with clear irritation.
He barely took a couple of steps before his phone buzzed again. Glancing at the caller ID with frustration, his expression softened a bit as he answered, "Hey, Mom."
"I heard you got clobbered today, huh?" Her voice was practically dripping with amusement. "How bad is it? Send me a pic so I can get a good laugh."
Nash: "......"
He raked his fingers through his hair, exasperated. "How'd you find out?"
"Your school called, asking me to drop by. But I'm tied up right now, otherwise, I'd love to meet the girl who decked you. I want to make her my honorary sister!"
Nash felt a headache coming on, his lips twitching as he asked, "Mom, are you sure you're my real mom?"
She clicked her tongue before continuing, "Still, the school insists someone should go over. Your Uncle Mike is nearby, so I asked him to swing by. He might as well thank that girl for doing what I've always wanted to do!"
The mention of Uncle Mike made Nash's face pale. He wasn't afraid of much, but his uncle was a different story. Uncle Mike was a force to be reckoned with! Around him, Nash felt like a mouse cornered by a cat.

Keaton was escorting Fiona to Principal Trevor's office, and he wasn't looking too pleased.
"You're quite a handful, aren't you?" he snapped, glaring at Fiona. "Do you have any idea who you just punched?"
Principal Trevor glanced up from a pile of papers, a sour expression on his face as he looked at Fiona. "So, you're Fiona, the one who hit Nash?"
As soon as he said this, several teachers couldn't help but glance over. Nash was the reigning king of Westbrook High School, and yet someone dared to hit him? And it was a girl?
"Yep," Fiona replied, unapologetic. She didn't see the big deal.
Principal Trevor, seeing her act as though she was completely justified, nearly choked on his frustration. Such a seemingly nice girl, yet here she was, causing trouble.
"Ms. Fiona, I've already called Nash and his parents here. When they arrive, I expect you to apologize sincerely."
"Apologize?" Fiona raised an eyebrow, "My interaction with Nash was just a normal, friendly exchange. Why should I apologize to him?"
