Jayde cries out, her mouth open, staring directly into my eyes as we both get the release we needed.

She’s straddling me in my office chair, her black silk panties discarded on the floor where I left them.

I’m breathing hard, too, one hand wrapped in her hair, the other pressed against her lower back. Slowly, she raises herself off of me, lowering her feet to the ground.

She leans forward, her hands on the arms of the chair, pressing a hungry kiss to my mouth.

“Thanks, baby,” she murmurs. “I always like a little afternoon treat.”

I don’t say anything in response, instead standing up and buckling my pants as Jayde leans back against the desk.

For me, this wasn’t a treat. It was a necessity. Brooklyn, that beautiful she-wolf virgin, had come to this office, my sacred space, and offered her services to me.

They just weren’t the services I desperately wanted.

But then again, I couldn’t have those, either.

Jayde has always satisfied me—and then some. It’s the reason we’ve been together as long as we have.

But today, with her on top of me, it was Brooklyn I pictured. Brooklyn’s perfect, perky breasts, soft in my hand. Brooklyn’s supple bottom bouncing on top of me.

I wanted to make Brooklyn groan the way Jayde had.

But I couldn’t, and so this would have to do until I could shake this feeling away.

Jayde is speaking now, looking at the security monitor on my desk.

“Lookie here.” She points a finger at the little rectangle that shows the door to Hudson’s room. “Looks like the love birds were having a little tryst.”

She laughs, but I don’t. I can’t help myself from clamping my teeth together, watching closely.

The truth is, I’ve always had my suspicions about Hudson, who he would choose to love if he could. It’s a reason I’ve been relieved that I can choose his future partner. Protect the family bloodline.

My eyes flash to her. “What?”

“Just look,” she says, gesturing to the screen, where Brooklyn has reached her door. The camera shows Brooklyn’s face as she twists the knob and walks in. “Can’t you see? Her hair isn’t mussed, and neither is her makeup. Her lips aren’t even swollen.”

I can’t help myself. I lean forward to study the image, noting that Jayde is correct.

Jayde smirks again. “If Hudson had really given it to her—”

“That’s enough,” I say, my voice coming out harsher than I intend it to. Jayde’s smile doesn’t fade, but her eyes narrow at me. I must be careful here.

“Of course, nothing happened in there,” I say, straightening up. “She’s his fiancée. He respects her. Hudson knows it’s impious to have sex before the wedding.”

Jayde laughs as she heads for the door. “Oh, I didn’t know we were suddenly so pious in this house. I’ll have to say a couple of Hail Mary’s to wash away my sins from this afternoon.” She winks, before closing the door behind her.

I grunt a farewell, grateful to be left in peace. To return to the distraction of my work.

Still, unable to concentrate, my mind turns again to the innocent, untouched young woman upstairs.
